Sunbeam Alpine: Applying Lanoguard anti rust treatment

This video shows how we applied Lanoguard anti-rust treatment to our Alpine. We have no link to the company and paid full price for their products. The opinions that we express in the video are our genuine feelings with regard to Lanoguard.

It looks easy to apply, although unless I'm mistaken, you have to reapply every year ? I would have thought you wouldn't have too many corrosion issues, with the treatment/ paint finishes you applied, when you carried out your full restoration.

Keith, we took a lot is steps to discourage future corrosion when we rebuilt the car and we haven’t had any issues at all, even though we use her all year round (including when there is salt on the roads). You are correct, Lanoguard does have to be reapplied annually to keep up full coverage. It’s main advantage seems to be that it actively dispels water. We thought we’d give it a go and were pretty impressed with it.

Nice report, Not convinced yet as I've herd that it smells bad and not that easy too apply. Will see if anyone else has used it. But well done and interested to see how it holds up. Cheers Bob

Bob, it smells but not in a bad way. It is much more pleasant than the smell of Waxoyl or WD40! It is also VERY easy to apply, that is its main selling point. Quite a few people on the SAOC forum have used it and praised it and when we had a treated Alpine MOT’d this week the tester said that he swears by this stuff.
