The reason Origins combat feels different is because it switched the focus from striking to countering. It's the only game that has the Martial Artists that not only require two counters to properly takedown, but can feint hits and can counter you(requiring you to hit the counter button again to avoid getting hit). Multiple Boss fights are counter heavy(Deathstroke, Shiva, Bird, Copperhead). It's the only game that has critical counters where you get double combo meter for precise counters. And it made the issue Albino had, where enemies have better frame data... more of a thing. However you can also now buffer moves into each other better than every game in the series. Origins is really fun especially on Hard and I Am The Knight because of how hard it can be, but yeah it does play noticeably different.

City is my personal favorite, but I can respect the ranking. Good points all around. I also had some pretty severe crashing for Knight on my PS5, so I’m glad it’s not just me (I got that same season pass deal you mentioned too!)

Lmao, i loved Asylum, City, and Origins. I couldnt even get 4 hours into Knoght before putting it down. This is such a cool video to listen to, because of our wildly different experiences. I hated the batmobile.

Arkham Knight is unequivocally the best game in the series and I’m glad the albino man realizes that. Though personally, I would’ve put Origins much higher especially considering the multiplayer back in the day.

In my mind, I don't understand how anyone sees Arkham Knight as the best. The bat mobile had me so excited, until the game kept forcing me in to it. So much of that game is just tank combat. Which is fun for a bit. And then it gets boring. Then there are tank puzzles. Oh goodie. To be fair I've only played Arkham Knight once, but it has no moments that stand out in my head the way that Arkham City is littered with. Even Arkham Asylum has moments that stand out to me! Arkham Knight just felt like a slog.

W list. I've asked myself time and time again what is more important in a game: Story or Gameplay... and Gameplay wins everytime. Knights gameplay has yet to be topped, plus and the other positive things they improved upon. Still holds up to this day. Definitely has some issues but I can always come back to Knight and have a blast

Arkham Knight is so easily the best batman game. The graphics and combat alone make it #1. Maybe it's be cause Im playing on PC on 1440p 165Hz but the others cant compare. They are amazing games and I love replaying them. But Arkham Knight is the 1 game I go above and beyond to do everything the game offers. Except the damn riddler trophies lol.

I thought the big complaint about Arkham Knight was that its PC port was a total mess, to the point the offered everyone refunds and gave up on it ever being good. Or am I remembering my gaming history wrong?

for me arkham knight will always have some things that keep it from 1st place even tho combat wise it is the best. 1) batmobile being forced in a little to much. making riddler a racetrack master and not taking another villain who probably exists for it? and the tankcombat is fun the 1st 3 times but after it just gets boring especially when those supertanks appear when you gotta sneak em in the back. 2) joker being forced in again and making it all around him again. 2nd time they did it after origins, this was supposed to be scarescows time to shine just like origins was supposed to be black mask's game. i get joker is the big bad of batman and easily dc's most populair villain but you are underusing his other amazing villains. 3) barely any bossfights. after freeze and deathstroke i was thinking yeah we gonna get atleast one more crazy boss like this since they know fans loved it but nope. tankfights and joker infected jobbers :(

Arkham Knight is not the best BATMAN game, but it is the best game in the series. Great, fun game just loses the feel and narrative of batman a little. I think the same thing of Black Flag. Not really the best Assassin’s Creed game, but probably the best game in the series. The most fun to play.

Because it didn’t deserve it, although neither did Fallout 4. The Batmobile ruined that game… almost every fight (other than The Riddler), is in the Batmobile. Boring… they ruined the game by repetitively using the Batmobile in nearly everything.

@@michaelgarner4423 I never liked MGS much, although I’ve never played a lot to begin with. I’m waiting for the remakes to release to have a fresh start. The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece from a technical aspect; it’s basically perfect in every way except combat. I don’t really like the combat. Got the Plat for PS4, and I wanted to Plat the PS5 version, but I don’t think I’ll ever play it again. As for Bloodborne, I bought it, played it for a bit, didn’t enjoy it, left alone for a year, came back and had a blast. Took some time for the combat to get going, but it’s fire. Same for Elden Ring, but that game is such a fkn maze that I get a lil bored after a while.

Batman Arkham Knight is BY FAR the worst in the series. Combat is better, and the car is awesome, BUT the boss fights and the extreme repetitive use of the Batmobile is insane. Almost EVERY single boss fight is in the Batmobile. The only real boss fight in Arkham Knight is The Riddler, and that was the only good boss fight in the entire game. 🤷🏽‍♂️ That game was disappointment after disappointment, even if the combat was technically better than City. And don’t get me started on challenges; Arkham City is infinitely better than Arkham Knight in that regard. I don’t like the whole “augmentation” approach.

Combat in Knight alone puts it on top. Then you add in the gadgets, traversal, Side missions, graphics, and the character episodes and there's just no question. To say Asylum and Origins are better than Knight is just blasphemous

@ Asylum is better in terms of atmosphere, and Origins is a bit better in terms of bosses. City is better than all of them. And while combat is the most important thing (because gameplay is king), it isn’t everything.

I actually enjoyed Knight the option to drive the batmobile is fun and the combat was ok. I quickly got use to the batmobile missions. Origins was ok but my least favorite because it was too short. Knight and City are the top 2 in my opinion
