In my humble opinion, the world is always about balance and balance is all about pendulum. When the world has tilt to a side where the balance is gone, ‘the crowd’ would just need a little push and fight against the system. The balance is not only about economy but economy is always a start, a knot...when most of the people can’t live with dignity then that’s it. No matter it’s democracy or monarchy, it’s just a game of balance... Nowadays we can see that efficiency of democracy in the west seems decaying while the system of the east, whatever you call it monarchy, socialism, communism, is rising. It’s not about righteousness, it’s only a power of rebalancing. Anyway...very brave of you to openly discuss the situation of HK, even though not in depth but still...very brave of you Bless you

Some people including me resist the integration between China and Hong Kong, which undermines the unique identity of Hong Kong. The social movements starting from 2014 tells that a large portion of Hong Kong population wants a democtic HK (Genuine universal suffrage ) instead of one being subordinate to its grandfather. For this reason, many hongkobgers have been making efforts to strike a balance with various means. Rather than reflecting on how the crowd are affected by something like their emotions and deindividuation, I think we should appreciate how these effects work in the crowd during social movements push people forward. With people being rational in crowd, these social movements can hardly happen and the message about what many Hong Kong people truly want can hardly present to the authorities.
