It was in the 70's in Chicago today. My sunroof and windows were open today! Short sleeves and I would have worn shorts if I had shaved my legs, lol.

The flamingo is by Brad Keeler, a Los Angeles artist born in 1913. Mine still has the original paper sticker .

Thank you. Can you be specific and tell me what makes my flamingo a Brad Keeler and not one of a different manufacturer.

Would you just look at all that ‘stuff’. I read a fascinating article this week from ‘Architectural Digest’, naming all the bungalow types and their features. Mine was a roadmap of years of home improvements and transitions to make it livable. The storm window and stripped aluminum awning salesman sure earned his paycheck.

My father was a career Army colonel in the 60s, mother had calling cards, and a sterling card tray in the foyer. I had forgotten about that. I love the nostalgia you invoke.😊

I love the Shelly teacup and saucer! I used to live in Wales, and the daffodil is their national flower. Every March 1st. Everyone wears a daffodil to celebrate St. David’s Day (dydd dewi dewi hapus in Welsh). 👍🥰

This is a very elegant and high brow collection of delights Scott. Before those bunnies, in the 1950s, my Aunt, who was in high school made neck decorations by tacking a pair of cork balls, one at each end of a tube of black velvet, and then pushing short pins through seed beads and sequins to completely cover the cork. These were loosely tied about the neck so the balls hung at different levels on the front of a blouse or fine knit sweater. She also collected the coloured foil inner wrappings from Quality Street chocolates and toffees. She would reverse paint a picture in black on the glass from a picture frame, and adhere the coloured foils after crinkling them up and smoothing them, but not too much, to the clear areas of the painting, and putting it back in the frame. The contrast between black, and the brightly coloured foils made the picture glitter and shine with an exotic look. I haven’t seen one of those in ages.🖤🇨🇦

You have a croquette set! I have an old set that was made here in Maine. It’s a little worse for the wear because we actually still use it on my mother’s birthday.

Those sequin bunnies...over da top! What a good son thinking of your mother when buying that pyrex early american bowl. My mother gave me her cinderella pyrex daisy set from 1968..love the handles/lip (wish they were the butterprint design) great for pouring batter! That folding tidbit tray makes me want to have a dinner party or high tea...if I used something like that during family visits I'm sure my sisters would have something to say..they already roll their eyes when looking at my collectibles.
