Father Dave, I started watching your back when Covid hit. But back in Oct of 22 I had an accident that could have taken my life. I feel over a railing out in my yard and Broke my neck, back and suffered many fractures through out my spine. I also had a severe head injury splitting my head from front to back. I was home alone and wasn’t found for some time after the fall. I hollered and hollered for help but soon exhausted myself. I lost a lot of blood and started losing hope of someone finding me. I just prayed and prayed that 21:10 would send help and I found a calm come over me. With in a few mins of my prayers I heard my granddaughters school bus and I started hollering for her she came running to me. At only 13 she handled herself like a little hero. She called 911 and her father my son to help me. All I remember it’s praying and praying. From the time I went over that railing till then wheeling me into the OR I prayed. I know our most precious Lord heard my prayers and brought me through this horrific ordeal. The doctors tell me it was a miracle that I survived a fall like that. It is now seven months since my accident with the help of many doctor, Physical Therapy, Your online mass and our Great healer above I’ve come-a long way. I just wanted to Thank you for continuing your online masses your wonderful personality and kindness has brought me much hope, peace, joy and most importantly the word of our God. I know he was right there with me through that terrifying day bringing be peace and calm. I heard a calming voice while laying there telling me it was going to be ok ~ too stay calm and don’t be afraid. I know I had angels all around me. I’m doing much better but still have a great deal of PT ahead of me. But I’m getting there. I’m 61 yrs old with many other chronic health issues but that one voice I heard told me be not afraid and I hold that very close to my heart and keep pushing through. Hello Father Dave, I am Susan Garvey, I have ALS, I very much enjoy saying Mass with you! And Diane. I have been diagnosed December 2021. I ask if you would have a healing Mass for me, asking a lot! But I believe God can heal me. Father Joseph, from St. Anne here in Grants Pass, Oregon came to see me yesterday, he heard my confession and anointed me for healing. But I also received the body of Christ for the first time in many years!!! 🙏

Every Trinity Sunday I am reminded about the first grade In Catholic school. Our nun showed us 3 lit matches. Each represented the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. 3 separate flames in their own right ,but put them together and you have One Flame . I’ve never doubted the Trinity. Thank you, Father Dave and crew, for another great Mass. The past two weeks have been great for my work and home families. St. Christopher protected 25 of us as we travelled to Louisville for the National Catholic Forensics League Grand National tournament, where we had 7 of our 16 entries advance to the second day of competiton, 5 placing in at least the top 50 of the nation. On Friday I celebrated my 36th birthday, and continue having a happy and healthy life. Praise God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit for continued good life and the ability to give to my community.

I have turned to you and Canterbury Cathedral morning prayer and it has guided me through this trying time. Father Dave, thank you for Sunday Mass, this Sunday and every Sunday. I share your Mass with about 45 people every week. I know for some of them this is their only exposure to Scripture, and their religious backgrounds vary. One of my buddies is a well schooled Baptist who attended Divinity Training and was weeks short of being ordained. This was his reply back to me regarding the Blessed Trinity.............Philosophical argument people relate better to emotional elements. "How long have I been with you, and you don't know me, or my Father?" In God's heart, there are three persons. Thank you, Fr. Dave for teaching us about the Trinity through a cheeseburger! I like them the way you do. Your idea of a cheeseburger is just in your imagination, doesn't mean it exists. Our idea of ourselves may not exist or isn't perfect..but God the Father knows Himself, and He is perfect. God has to exist, and that is Jesus, the second person of the Trinity, when you see the Son, you see the Father, and He sends his Spirit, all are one. God has no flaws. The Holy Spirit is the Love between the two, the Father and the Son. What a beautiful story, now go and eat your cheeseburger, if it exists.
