At 28:54 Paul says, “There must be a word for keeping something that you’ll never ever use again.” Paul, I think the word you’re looking for is “hoarding.” 🤣

'Like going to the garden centre to buy a couple of bags of compost'....'Am I allowed to do that?'.....'No!'. Hahahahaha. You two in a nutshell. 😉 Alexander Pope.....English poet......enlightenment period. 😊 Politicians: hook them all up to lie detectors.......and every time a lie is detected the ejector seat is activated! Bye chaps, have a good week. XXX

Thanks for another enjoyable Sunday Chat. I love your sense of humour and the way you rib each other. Richard - your facial expressions slay me😂 I enjoyed the Silo book trilogy and worried how they would adapt it for screen but thought they did a fantastic job. Rebecca Ferguson was perfect in her role.

That was me explaining to the screen: You're probably familiar with some Alexander Pope (18thC) quotes - 'damning with faint praise' or 'to err is human, to forgive divine' He's very good on satire, buddies with Jonathon Swift. Sounds like you in UK weren't subjected to the Great English LIterature canon in school like we were here in Canada.🙂

@@RichardandPaul Good to hear it wasn't just the colonies subjected to it. This may be the first time I've used my A Pope knowledge. Have to thank you for the opportunity, lol, probably will never use it again.

I agree with you Paul. The braying would not be allowed in a school debating society. It brings the house into disrepute imo and to the outside world majes it look as if England is ruled by a bunch of badly behaved schoolchildren with manners or self dicipline. Oh wait ........!

Hi Richard and Paul!🤗 Thank you for another fantastic Sunday Chat. Its always great fun to have the weekly catch up with you both. A bit of fun and a giggle is exactly what we all need with it being so grey and gloomy outside. ☺️ Wow! Its not everyday you have a famous actor painting your house. How wonderful!!! Yes, totally agree with you, Paul. Politics here in the UK needs a good shake up. Hoping you both have a fabulous week ahead! 💛

Unfortunately politics has taken a path away from representation of the people and become a three ring circus here in Canada .I agree with you Paul about the blatant lies that are spouted by politicians and unfortunately misinformed people believe this crap! Anyway hope your week goes well and looking forward to the before and after pictures of your homes’ new paint job!

For any Richard and Paul viewers who are octopus lovers, the American naturalist, Sy Montgomery has written a new book (2024) entitled, “Secrets of the Octopus.”🐙 It includes many stunning photos by National Geographic. There is also a TV mini-series by National Geographic with the same name.
