First hymn is the Tongan version i think, coz the melody is the same as the one we sing on Sunday's as well in Fiji. It means (Follow Jesus)
@souveniehollande9793 жыл бұрын
You are correct. This is the Tongan version of the English hymn, "Down In The Valley".

Southwest Airlines this is what Sunday is like in Tonga. Everything is closed shops, jobs, restaurants etc the bell rings and that means the service is about to start and people go church come home cook eat and then rest. In Tonga it is forbidden to do any work on Sunday because you must keep the sabbath holy therefore you hear no loud music, no kids playing, no man working just people going church and going back home to cook sunday feast and then sleep.
@jonathanwilliams10653 жыл бұрын
@@birdb2248 no kids playing? But isn’t the whole point of the sabbath to have a day off?
@Alisi4372 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanwilliams1065 day off is for Saturday for some people. You do preps for Sunday. Sunday is day off but it is the day we rest and praise the lord.

Same singing, same food, same clothes, same home life, same fat people eating, I don't even know why my parents moved from Tonga in the first place when they live exactly the same lifestyle.

Miss Feke uhhh i'm pretty sure ur parents moved from Tonga to maybe give u a better start at life. something they probably didnt get as good as u do now. i'm not Tongan, but i am polynesian. ppl of all ethnicities, usually, reluctantly leave their motherland to give their family a better start at life than they had. i too, sometimes wonder what my life would've been like had my parents stayed in the South Pacific (don't want to say where) since i absolutely love the culture and i often catch myself coming here to youtube to watch cultural videos and wonder what life would've been like. kinda like how i'm doing watching this video now. Lol. maybe u should appreciate what u have. just adding my 2 cents. :)
