That approach is a self-condemning focus, since the law condemns anyone who sins. The law does not change. Apart from Christ, no one can be saved. Sheep and goats have no power to make you righteous, but they do have the teaching example to demonstrate what Jesus does as our Priest. To get rid of the Law is to get rid of the covenant that defines sin. Get rid of the law and you get rid of the need for Jesus. Since all the promises are based on the law, Jesus' obedience is the only guarantee for you and I to enter the Kingdom. It is a gift in Him. I suspect you have simply misunderstood what Paul's argument is all about. Be blessed, friend.

But the word sabbath is not in genesis Instead, it says God and God alone ceased from his work, and Hebrews four explains that serves as a type of rest that was pictured in Christ. The Sabbath was not given as a command until Exodus 16. Sabbath was a ritual law only for the nation of Israel , the definition of a ritual per Webster’s definition is an often repeated action. None of the other 10 Commandments are often repeated actions except the weekly sabbath.

That’s why the thief being crucified with Jesus got saved because he confessed Jesus. What is your salvation based on the law or Jesus? Who has the power to resurrect you, the law or Jesus? If you rely on the law for salvation you don’t need Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:3-4 states a person attempting to keep the law for salvation instead of Jesus Christ for salvation becomes indebted to the law and falls from grace. “ For by grace you have been saved through faith and not if yourselves, it is the gift of God and not of works, lest anyone should boast. “ Ephesians 2:8-9. You can go to worship on Saturday, but don’t tell people their salvation is based on it because that is NOT what Jesus says.

Remember that those who grasp it has nothing to do with intelligence. It is those who are willing to lay aside self, and submit to the pleading of the Holy Spirit. Many of these people know the truth, but their ego is too big for them to submit, because they are focusing on self. For others it is too much of an inconvenience. I think he said every day should be like the sabbath; but the 4th commandment specifically says 'THE' seventh day is the sabbath. It says we should not work nor make anyone within our gates work. Doug Batchlor made a good point when he said if we treated every day like the sabbath that would make us lazy. God commands us to work 6 days but rest on the seventh. He quoted the bibe verse that says the sabbaths are a shadow of things to come. The feast days were called sabbaths. The seventh day sabbath is a memorial to creation. Bible also says God doesn't change. His laws were written in stone. We'll be observing the sabbath in heaven. And, Matthew 24 says, talking about the end times, pray that your flight not be in the winter nor on the sabbath. The sabbath was made for man not just the jews.

The main reason for the Sabbath is the fact that God is the Creator and as our Creator we owe everything to Him and as such should worship Him. As long as God is the Creator, the 7th day Sabbath will be valid (Gen 2:1-3, Exo 20:11, Isa 66:22, 23).

We can worship any day, everyday if you please. BUT the seventh day was the day that God blessed and hollowed and instructed that we should keep Holy. We should cease from working on that day, God actually said REMEMBER to keep the Sabbath Day Holy. In keeping the day holy, we draw nearer to God. Part of drawing closer to God is going to His House to worship. The rest on the Sabbath is because we rest from doing anything that is work. That does not mean that we stay in bed all day. No! we can do deeds of kindness and of service to others. Jesus Himself was not sitting around on the Sabbath He was out doing good. Remember He said if your donkey fell in a hole on the Sabbath, you were not going to leave it there, but take it out. In other words what is necessary to be done on the Sabbath can be done. What can be done on another day should not be left for the Sabbath. Amen

God is a Holy God and in so many places describes that we must make a distinction between what is sacred from what is common. In creation week He makes a distinction in each of the six days that demonstrates defined separations between physical concepts. On the seventh-day He orders and creates for us the necessary concepts of His sacredness on a spiritual level that we seriously need to appreciate. God has given us a day that He distinguishes from the other six that we might recognize and respect His holiness by a day sanctified to demonstrate His sovereignty even over time, producing before us His specific day that represents His holiness and distinguishes that it is different than the commonality of the other six days. This is not just about some 'necessary' rest that appeals to human logic. This is about recognizing God's true holiness and His rulership.

Yes brother, the confusion that the Sunday Church leaders are promoting is between the Old and New Covenant which are basically the same except the New Covenant is now made through the blood of Jesus Christ not the blood of the animals. The terms of the old covenant and the new covenant are the same terms (10 commandments or decalogue) except that the old covenant was written on stone by God's own finger whereas the new Covenant is now written in the tablets of our human hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus our creator went about doing good every day as that was his job/purpose- he rested in the grave all day on sabbath-rose on the 1st day which is Sunday and went back to business as usual healing and doing good, because that was his purpose or his job before he died; his job which started the 1st day - sun, mon, tue, wed, Thur, Fri, . When the Sabbath came again at the end of the week he went to back to the “Synagogue” and celebrated the Sabbath, as he did before he died. Is that so?

Like all other ritual laws, the ritual laws pointed forward to Christ. They were only pictures keep in mind the definition of a ceremony/ritual is an often repeated action, that’s Webster’s definition, none of the other 10 Commandments are often repeated actions except the weekly sabbath, which by definition makes it a ritual law. I don’t know how much more clear it can be described than that.

Another confusion of Sunday Church leaders is between the ceremonial law and the moral law. The 10 commandments is a moral law that endures forever whereas the ceremonial law that includes ceremonial sabbath days are shadows of the cross that Jesus fulfills them at the cross. Sunday church leaders are also very skillful in mixing up the two laws and that is why they seem confused but actually most of them know the true Sabbath is Saturday and not Sunday. That is why most of the Sunday Church leaders will hardly make it to heaven because they hide the truth from their members while a lot of their members will be saved based on the light given to them.
