A class act! Doesn’t tell secrets, doesn’t make her daughter’s problems and suicide all about her own loss, and unapologetically states her beliefs. To succeed in show business when she did, a woman probably had to overlook some boorish behavior, lay down the law as to what she wouldn’t tolerate, and be tough as nails. She was smart enough to do it. Dolly Parton basically says the same thing: I never slept with anybody I didn’t want to sleep with, knew how to laugh off the come-ons without being rude or letting them think there was a chance, and if they thought I was dumb I’d let them until I was out the door with the money.

Triple Threat She had a ground breaking role in the 1970's show "Police Woman". Many credit that show as the kick start that started the permanent growth of Woman joining the Police Force across America and even the world. Might have even influenced "Charlie Angel's" as well which debuted about a year or two later on TV. Some "Police Woman" episodes is on here on KZbin if you care to watch. Keep in mind Triple that some of the episodes might be cheesy for today's entertainment standards but it was a smash hit and very cutting edge for the Mid 1970's.

@MsTexas735 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I agree. And whenever Police Woman is discussed, Angie’s “ Pepper Anderson” character is considered less than compared to female police officers/detectives/super hero characters that came AFTER her. I am often questioning if these people actually WATCHED that same show that I did (and still do as I have all 4 seasons on DVD). Pepper was quite leading in many ways. She wasn’t just a pretty face. She was smart. Pepper often figured out clues that ended up leading to the solution of the cases the team was on. I felt cheated that we didn’t get at least a 5th season of the series actually because of the growth in the character (as a cop) that I saw in the 4th season.
