Corey is blessed to have you right beside him. I'm my husband of 46 years caregiver for the last 12 months. He was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer October 7, 2023. He has a treatment every other week and blood work the weeks of not getting treatment. Treatment days are long for him as well. I've been keeping you and Corey in my prayers. You truly don't understand what peop!e deal with until it effects your family. It has been emotionally hard on me watching my strong husband become so frail and weak. We are at peace knowing God is seeing us through the hard days as well as the hardest days.

God bless you for helping Cory! I too helped my ex husband, I was married again for 30 years and when my ex became terminally sick I went and got him, took care of him and loved him as a brother! Right before he passed away he hugged and cried and told me thank you for being his best friend. My sons were so grateful and respectful for what I did. I’ll never be sorry for that. I allowed my ex husband to stay with me for a while too. We see each other as family. Because we saw each other that way, we were able to do activities together with our Granddaughter. My ex husband passed during the pandemic but our granddaughter has beautiful memories and pictures with her grandparents. I wish more people were able to do this.💜🦋

My Grandma was born in 1896 and she taught me to once in awhile use soap and rinse and then heat it up on the burner….put a tablespoon of oil in it wipe it in well …Finally store it in the oven. It never sticks.🦋🦋🦋

There are some that just about clutch their pearls if you mention soap and cast iron in the same breath. 😂 It’s not that serious. A guy on TikTok washes a cast iron with soap and said I know I REALLY upset people in the south doing that. Takes more than that to upset me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s how my grandma taught me also. I also clean mine right after I use it with just hot water especially if I’ve seared something in it. Then I cure it on the stove.

I love those but why is it that we ourselves never get that excited about our own cleaning but will sit and relax watching someone else do it? 😂 I like how homeschooling is so flexible. As my youngest daughter got older, around 7th grade,she hated public school so we took her out and homeschooled her through high school graduation. She loved it. I also clean my cast iron skillets with soap once in a while and then re-season. I love the way cast iron cooks. I’m 64 years old and no longer have kids at home but sometimes my husband and I can create a bit of clutter and watching your video always gets me motivated to get cleaning. I also get meal ideas from you. I wish I could find a fresh meat market in my area to get better quality meat without having to purchase in large quantities. 🦋🦋🦋🦋

🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 We use a cast iron skillet on the grill as well Try a pizza in a cast iron skillet on the grill. Omgosh! Chefs kiss!! I just use a touch of soap and water. I dry it lightly with paper towel. Oil it and heat it up. Store it in the oven. They are the best skillets!!

I clean my iron skillet with soap every so often too. Then I put it on the stove burner to dry. Then I put a small amount of oil in it and store in a warm dry place. Usually the oven. Have a great week! 🦋
