Jordan 8 is a detachable eight-person chairlift located at Sunday River Resort. The lift runs from the bottom of the Jordan Bowl Area up to the top of Jordan Bowl. The chairlift primarily serves the Jordan Bowl Area of the resort which comprises mostly of multiple long groomers. From the top of the lift, skiers and riders may also access all of the resort's other areas. The chairlift features heated seats, automatic locking safety bars, loading gates, a loading carpet, and the world's first red bubbles. The chairlift was manufactured by Doppelmayr and installed at the resort in 2022, replacing the 1994 Doppelmayr Jordan Bowl Express Quad chairlift.
Sunday River Resort is a ski resort located in Newry, Maine. The resort is located in Western Maine in Oxford County, about a 1.5-hour drive northwest of Portland and about a 3-hour drive north of Boston. Sunday River is known for its wide variety of terrain spread out across eight separate peaks. White Cap is known for its steep terrain, especially the famous White Heat trail; Locke Mountain and Barker Mountain feature a variety of both intermediate and advanced trails; North Peak is the resort's center and features many beginner and intermediate groomed runs; Spruce Peak and Aurora Peak feature a variety of terrain for those of all skill levels; Oz features the resort's most difficult glades; and Jordan Bowl features primarily long beginner and intermediate groomers. Sunday River is owned by Boyne Resorts and is therefore a partner on the Ikon Pass, with full pass holders receiving 7 unrestricted days at the resort, with base pass holders receiving 5 days with blackouts.
