Sunday School with Joe Rogan, Kid Rock, and O.J. Simpson?

Guys, I am so excited to share this episode with you! We’re doing things a little differently this week, but there have been some interesting cultural moments recently and I really want to share my thoughts with you. Ready for a chat?
First, I want to talk about Joe Rogan’s interview with Kid Rock. Kid gave some great arguments defending his Christian beliefs, but I have some tips to help make them even stronger. Next, we talk about what to do when you witness to friends and family and they say “Eh, I’m good.” And finally, we’ll round it out with my thoughts on O.J. Simpson, because if you’re in my generation, EVERYONE remembers watching the Ford Bronco car chase the subsequent trial.

I have a daughter who I pray for everyday trying to bring her into the faith and Jesus and she pushes back all the time. My heart hurts. She doesn’t want to talk. She believes in Jesus but that’s all she says. 😢

Prayers for you and your daughter. Read the story of St. Monica who waited for her son who had strayed extremely far from the faith and later became St. Augustine. Be the love of Jesus in your daughter's life by loving her where she is at but helping her to see that simply believing in Jesus is not the full picture. Model the life that her soul yearns for. Remember, you are the picture of Catholicism in her life. Show her why our faith is the only one that can truly satisfy her. But above all, trust in God. He always has a plan. The best thing to do is keep praying and live out your faith. Actions speak louder than words and she will notice. That is what brought me back. I was 45 years old when I came back but it was after seeing my bride live out her faith. Trust in God, she’ll come back.
