This is covered really well in Sentinel. One thing to note for anyone setting this stuff up, particularly the first aid/EMS stuff and “perishables” is to ROTATE AND REFRESH. Every time you: -change your oil -hit a new 10 mark on your car -lapse 3-4 months You should try and do the following: -Check expiration dates -change batteries -replenish and restock as needed Batteries need changing, filters need changing, food and water needs freshening. Life goes on. Some of the stuff you need in that bag is sensitive to expiration, namely the medical stuff. It’s important to note that the tourniquets/bandages have a longer shelf life than listed, particularly in the foil wrapper. The expiration date is for the wrapper on the item, not the item itself. On that note, buy extra and train with it. Don’t be the guy who’s never used a tourniquet on someone with an arterial bleed and you fumblef$&@ through while they bleed out. You never know when it’s needed. Thanks for the great videos Pat Mac!
@neilreid90055 жыл бұрын
Pleased my emergency bag is stocked much like yours except for luminescent markers and to put them on the forward side of trees. Brilliant. I have a calendar reminder to inspect and refresh every six months; emergency bag contents have a shelf life. Thanks, Mac.

@aikonatsumi56115 жыл бұрын
That comment about the teenager texting on a road without a median really hits me hard. I have anxiety over driving on those roads all the time and go the VERY long way to avoid being on it. I walk on the sidewalk toward oncoming traffic because I can see someone out of control sooner. I look both ways all the time when crossing and don't stop turning my head back and forth until I'm back on the side walk. I attempt to look both ways while coasting through a green light just in case someone's running a red and it offers me some extra milliseconds of reaction time. I always stop a few feet early at a red light so I have extra room to move forward while I'm staring at my rear view mirror expecting some idiot to not see the stop and plow into me. I can keep going on forever, and it stresses me out but I'm proud to say that thanks to my vigilance I've avoided some really close calls that I'm certain were death traps for anyone complacent. Sorry if my English is bad I am still learning. God Bless America.
