@@danielcurtis8746 Keep only one in the fridge at a time and force yourself to wait longer and longer before drinking it. Eventually, stop buying them altogether and try to do as much stuff as possible once your stash has fully dried up. Going out, games, shooting, gunsmithing, books, whatever. I quit drinking beer alone that way. Having none in the fridge means I can't just decide to drink one during a moment of weakness - i would have to plan it a couple of hours in advance. It's been 1,5 month now and I saved so much money. You can do it too, courage!

Hi there from the UK,my grandad carried an smle in the first and second world wars,I agree many of these firearms are very personal items like a member of the family,my mum used to tell me that her dad had the rifle leaning against the wall just inside the back door and the bullets were in the cutlery draw after being gassed in WW1 he was a sergeant in the home guard and was at Gallipoli and passiondale in first WW.the army record office was bombed in WW2 but my grandads records survived although there was a lot of water damage, your trip sounds great you painted a very good picture,I wished I was there, and your right people dont appreciate the freedom they have to make these comments were provided by the very weapons they criticize and extreme sacrifice, just look at whats happening in Ukraine, thanks for the pearls of wisdom, atvbDave

@hickok45
@hickok45 2 жыл бұрын
Good one, and that sort of thing happens regularly, I'm sure. It's so easy to blame the tool. Sometimes it IS the gun because the sights are off, but even in those cases, it's not really the gun. The gun is fine, and maybe the shooter is actually very competent; the sights just need to be adjusted properly.

I had the most vivid dream this morning that I ran into Hickock at a gun show while traveling through Tennessee , and offered him a ride home. During the ride we determined he was a pretty cool dude. He's probably a cool dude regardless.

Sgt. Alvin York of Tennessee carried a U.S. M1917 Lee-Enfield and a 1911 .45 in WWI. His Enfield fired the American 30.06. It didn't matter to Sgt. York because his marksmanship was legendary. When a German saw York drawing a bead on him he immediately threw down his weapons and surrendered. Sgt. York once brought in 132 prisoners.

I inherited a MKIII from my dad when he passed. It was made in 1917. He bought it in the early 60s some time. It had already been sporterized by someone else when he bought it. It was Dads deer rifle. Sprorter stock and scope mount and scope were all that had been done. I would like to find original stock assembly for correct year. Just to give it its original look. I also have a 2A MKIII..308. It was made in 1966. Interesting how much the bolt was redesigned on the 2A but still retained the original look.

If I had to go to war with a bolt gun make mine a Lee Enfield. It can fire as fast as an M-1 nearly. owning a firearm, is (well should be) a responsible decision. it makes sense so many shooters are good people. need to be responsible enough to own a firearm legally. if you can do that it means you are likely not a hot head, have avoided felonies and can control anger. plus many of us probably feel safer since we train, and can and will defend ourselves and homes if shit goes down. many are helpless if they get assaulted or have a home break in, so they live in fear, not comfort and peace. just a few of many reasons most shooters tend to be good people. another great sunday, cant wait for spring to start springin for you over there in the great state of TN

The P365X in a Vedder pocket holster is my favorite configuration too. I have the Wilson combat grip also. I have much smaller hands and it feels really good to me. I believe the Wilson grips are slightly bigger. I have talon grips on some of my other pistols. The older rubber kind. I haven’t tried the pro grips. I’ve also installed a plus 2 magguts spring and follower for 14+1 capacity. So far I have never had any mag issues. I don’t know the round count I’ve got with that configuration. Guessing upwards of 500-600 or more rounds over the past year or so. Always enjoy your videos.

Agreed but as my first was a 44 mag (too much recoil for me now),and a Detonics Combat Master (too rare, much $$) I’ve replaced them with placebo’s.

I like to imagine you sitting there sharing a wealth of advice to us young folk for 26mins before realizing the camera wasn't on. or the lens cap still on, lol.
