Our favorite go - to Sunday supper would be breakfast for supper. Scrambled eggs with cheese & chives, biscuits & sawmill gravy, sausage patties & bacon or sliced polish sausage, and home fries potatoes with onions & peppers. I call it a breakfast skillet. Homemade strawberry preserves, fresh seasonal fruit, and, of course, ice cold milk.

Hello from Mississippi. I have never had squash fritters. They look delicious. Purple bull peas are my favorite and boil whole okra in them. Then eat them with raw onion…delicious!!! Never thought about cutting the pork loins in rounds…great idea. Sunday dinner growing up was pot roast with potatoes and carrots, dirty rice and purple hull peas. We had dinner and left overs for supper. You prepared a great looking supper!

Everything looks delicious! I’ve had zucchini fritters so good! For a Sunday supper we have whatever. But growing up at home it was usually pot roast in the oven while we went to church. Hi there to your answer about fritters yes. I start getting a lot of zucchinis now and grab the older canned trout and make a fry night with zucchini fritters and trout cakes. I make so much I send boyfriend home with leftovers for a week. He loves the fritters night. And yes, the trout was what I caught years before and the zucchini from my garden. I call it foraging food night.

Chuck roast with mashed potatoes,gravey ard and a summer salad, corn on the cob, and dinner rolls. Chocolate cake for dessert. My pa would make this meal on a lot of Sunday's, growing up as a kid. I've made and ate Courgette (Zucchini) fritters and they were great, so I guess squash is pretty similar. I also love corn fritters. Inever thought to add cheese lol. Sammi, I just found out today that my younger brother has lung cancer, he's already had bowel cancer and lost 1/3rd of his right lung to cancer. I'm terrified for him. We love squash..... my go to Sunday supper depends on the season believe it or not ... im from new Orleans and we had Gumbo in the fall and winter and then in the summer and spring roast or spaghetti. But I love to make sweet and sour crock pot chicken... and I do Gumbo in th3 colder months

Hello and God bless you all one of my favorite Sunday meals would have to be a homemade lasagna with some green beans or corn and a side salad with garlic bread or rolls but my absolute favorite is a Mexican dish called mole which is chicken with a sauce that is made with chilis guajillo passilla or chili ancho mixed with spices like garlic onion cumin pepper chicken bouillon and chocolate the Mexican abuelita brand that has cinnamon and peanuts sunflower seeds toasted bread or corn tortillas for thickening or which you can just buy the Doña Maria mole sauce which has all that already just add chicken broth to make it thinner add chicken and all set I usually make a Mexican rice and cook pinto beans with it on the side

Never had squash fritters! I've had battered squash blossoms filled with a little creamy goat cheese at a restaurant. They were so delicate and delicious! Sammi, can you tell me what brand your grater is? My Cuisinart grater bit the dust! I only have a hand grater which probably isn't going to cut it! The squash fritters look so good! Hubs may not eat them, but I will serve as a side and he will try them because there is cheese. Mo' cheese, mo' better! Thanks for the inspiration. Hitting a farmer's market in the morning and going to get me some squash!

Hello Sammy May I’m a new subscriber. I have a recipe I would like to share with you and I hope you make it and let me know how you and your family like it. It’s called creamy chicken taco soup. You can put this in the crockpot or cook it on top of the stove I prefer in the crockpot and I cook it on low Out you start out with eight chicken tenders cut into bite-size pieces 3 cups of chicken stock. One onion Miley, diced two cloves of garlic, minced one can of black beans rinse one can of pinto beans rinsed eigh potatoes I prefer the Yukon gold peel potatoes cut into bite-size pieces one can of roasted tomatoes can of roasted peppers one can of mild enchilada sauce, one package of taco seasoning, teaspoon of chili powder, one and a half teaspoons of paprika, 2 teaspoons of onions, salt, 2 teaspoons of powder. A half a teaspoon of cumin, one package of frozen corn. When chicken is done removed from crockpot add your vegetables and vegetables are done. Add your chicken back into the crockpot. You take one package of Philadelphia cream cheese cut into pieces put back in crockpot, cream cheese, stairwell cover lid with crockpot then restore again to make sure the cream cheese has melted. I serve this with a green salad either homemade sweet potato biscuits or buttermilk biscuits and I finished the meal peach cobbler. I always use fresh peaches if I can get them or frozen peaches and that I put on vanilla Bean ice cream, I hope you make this recipe and I will continue to watch your channel.
