First time I’ve heard of this show. And I grew up in the 50s. So far, it’s off to a slow start. Fair acting. It doesn’t hold a candle to Tombstone Territory or The Rifleman. Those were top notch actors. Pat Conway and Chuck Connors. RIP

I agree, this is a slow moving episode & the dialogue is pretty bad. The dialogue is very stilted, as if the actors keep forgetting their lines

The show was not syndicated this is Bob Terry and possibly friends I saw another Terry his brother I would imagine I knew by that voice it was Bob he it is one of the ombres that brings you Westerns on the web that's all I can contribute to your comment right now I need to watch the rest, it all looks very authentic to me you can tell it's not their first day on the trail,

It sure did sound like The Rifleman soundtrack!

As I continue to ride the trail with you folks I gain a greater and deeper affection for y'all. Your obvious love of the West along with your respect for our great old western heroes touches me. Your efforts to convey those feelings and your love of God reminds me of Roy and Dale. I am much obliged to you for all that you do and I urge you to continue on the path that's been set before you. Lord bless you real good!

I don't think a lot of commenters understand where this serie comes from, not that I'm that smarter than any other ombre, Ibeen watching Westerns on the web for a few years now I thought as soon as I heard that voice I knew Bob T our Western authority ,host ,actor director, ECT obviously a man that knows his way around anything to do with the West, lost ,found or otherwise was in this, I could go on, not now though ,can't wait to watch the rest,

This is a pretty good newer Western with a old school feel to it. I just started watching a highly recommended channel called Forsaken Westerns where the host of it Bob Terry is in this western show.

If I was riding the trail I'd have a Winchester for my primary weapon. The pistol would be a weapon of second-to-last resort (the knife would be the weapon of last resort).

Bob, thank you for all those freebie western movies, and currently on episode 3 of Sundown. Looks like you all have a ball making these. I'm jealous lol! It's so hard to find good old fashioned modern westerns. Keep up the good work!

I would recommend filming in reverse order particularly when they are out in the wilderness for days. After a day or two they still look as clean shaven as the first scene!
@westernsontheweb8 жыл бұрын
Howdy Jeff Thanks for watching. We are imitating the 1959 TV western (Thus the 1950's style saddles and outfits). Many times in those timeless shows the characters would remain clean shaven also.

just a point, if you cut off the circulation for more than 15 minutes you risk septicemia or gangrene, you slow the rate of bleeding, then apply a pressure bandage, but not to tight. fell on a broken bottle once, blood everywhere, had to use my belt to slow it up until a bandage could be applied, hurts like hell later

Because they should look watchable, as they are actors, not saddle tramps.

@@alphonsozorro7952 *Many in the old west were saddle tramps. Poor folk building a life, with very little but sweat, grit, and a vision of a future, they could only dream of. I want my westerns as real, as the movie folks can make it, but that's just my opinion. To each their own poison( ;)*

I’m in San Antonio. This looks like it was shot between Uvalde and Del Rio. John Wayne in the 1960 “Alamo” was shot in Bracketville. Midway between Uvalde and Del Rio. I know that territory like the back of my hand. I lived in Del Rio and Langtry.
go on to The Deputy where Henry Fonda does a very good job.

I think this is a modern Western filmed in B&W to make it look old with a Rifleman background soundtrack (which didn't hardly match what was going on! A guy and his buddies made this up in 2024 I'm guessing! All the clothes was new, the marshall's badge didn't look like it was from a Western I've ever seen! New spotless hats out on the prairie, lol! Uh-huh...Was pretty cool though.

When there saying there lines the wait is hard for the next one. Editing is as important . but thats on edit in side studio. The director has his job . the lack of action an flow . it has to hold pace. The sound track has to match

The acting ... unnatural particularly with the unexplained pauses between individual words. Did you get permission to use the soundtracks from "The Rifleman?"
@westernsontheweb8 жыл бұрын
Howdy again Jeff and again thanks for watching! I suppose some spots could be thought of that way. But all in all we are very proud of this series! We think everyone has done an AMAZING job! As for the music the theme song was written and performed by Chance Terry. The background music comes from several different places including out of clips of TV episodes or movies that have lapsed into PD.
