Do you always paint a background…I recently painted a rose…I love the way it came out but I’m not sure I should add a background..is it ok to just feature the rose
@shelleypriorfineart2 жыл бұрын
It's absolutely fine to leave no background. I did a series of florals with no background and made them into cards. I think it's a clean, contemporary look. Go for it!

Is there a way to send you a chocolate colored sunflower reference photo to see if you would do a tutorial on it??? Also how do you cut gator board or incredible board?
@shelleypriorfineartАй бұрын
@@kerbear829 send it to my email on my website. I cut gatorboard with a utility knife but have to make several cuts to get through.

The leaf is amazing! There’s some KZbin videos on Fibonacci that I will watch and hopefully understand it.

I learn so much from your videos . I heard you mention there is a painting on the other side of the board. How do you protect it? Thankyou
@shelleypriorfineart2 жыл бұрын
Lol Sue. Actually I don’t. I just have to be extra careful but if I were concerned about it I would tape something over it to protect it

Is it ok to mix different brands of the same color in a color well on the palette
@shelleypriorfineart2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kathie. I would say ‘sure’ and I do this as well but only if it’s a match. In any case, I promise there are no art police to come along and say no, you can’t do that.
