Sunglasses UV test. Do you really need expensive sunglasses? [ DollarTree $1 glasses ]

Or "why is your brand $200 bucks glasses is just a scam". Might "brand" glasses are better build quality, might be more "fashion", BUT regarding UV protection even 1$ glasses (declared as UV protective, and it is actually true), are totally blocking all UV to absolute zero.
I don't know the OD (optical density) number, but the UV protection of 1$ glasses is EXCELLENT! Flashlight used in this video is 365nm and EXTREMELY POWERFUL (you can feel the heat from emission, like under sun rays in the summer), and sensitive photo chromatic pigment indicate that is no UV passes through. AT ALL.
In other words, if someone tells you that their expensive "brand" glasses are much better for UV protection compared to the cheap ones - it is total B.S. and a scam.
For sure not all glasses are good, even specifically for UV protection (for example 395nm block, and 365nm pass), but it is not related to price and cost. Just plastic additives and it properties matters.
"Brand" glasses mostly used by poor people to show off between each other, "you have $1 sunglasses and I have $200 bucks sunglasses!", like a kids in a sandbox.

Flashlight is Alongfire, it came with 4 batteries and absolute beast in UV power. True 365nm.... Even protective glasses included. The irony that included "protective" glasses are 395nmm, and passing all not good for eyes UV like transparent. Was shocked by that fact, such a shame!.... But UV flashlight itself is the best I had ever seen.

Interesting observation that photochromaticity is working from one side on photochromatic (yellow) glasses. If UV coming from inside they does not change color (UV blocked before photochromatic pigment), but from outside (as supposed to be) they became dark under UV light
