(ch) probably stands for the fifth finder of the right hand. Here I guess it means using the fifth finger to knock on the guitar during attack mute.

ch refers to the pinky finger. The 5 fingers are denoted by p, i, m, a, and ch on the tab.

Very nice tutorial! Also recommend Sungha Jung's recording: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6PNeIF-rK5ggLc Some places he didn't play exactly the same as the tab. But it sounds more like Kotaro Oshio's original sound track.
