That was an amazing debut but the West Indian team then was all spinners and medium pacers. West Indian fast bowling only started with Andy Roberts in 1974, then followed by Holding in 1975-76 and then Croft, Garner in 1976-77.

Sachin was equally brilliant against all type of bowling attacks and in all type of conditions. Virat Kohli often say that he feel embarrassed to get compared to his idol and it isn't fair on little master considering he's the reason he started playing cricket.

Not just alltime greatest opening batsman in the World, but a great human and a very down to earth personality. I am a portrait artist. During the World Cup 2007 i had an exhibition of Sachin Tendulkars portraits in Port of Spain ( West Indies). I have just completed a project on Mr Sunil Gavaskar, trying to have exhibition in near future. During the World Cup in England last year Sunny Bhai inspite his busy schedule as a comentator, took out his valuable time to inaugurate my exhibition in London ( Portraits of alltime 25 Indian Cricket Legends), was just more than a dream come true for me.
