Imagine spending millions to find and recover all of these coins just for a foreign govt that did not assist in such find/recover claim it all and then store most of the coins in a vault where no one can see/enjoy them.... selling a portion of these coins to collectors would benefit/expose Spain's heritage just as a museum would. what a waste. This is just preventing more exploration.

To be fair, the gold, silver, and gems on these sunken ships really belongs to the countries that Spain and other countries stole to begin with. So by that logic, it should be returned to those countries. It will never happen, and when they do find more of these wrecks, It should be interesting to see what happens.

Leave all th treasure on the bottom of the ocean. You might as well outlaw mining for gold silver and diamonds. What's the difference really.I would have sailed those 600,000 coins back to spain and sunk them in the deepest part of the Atlantic
