Honestly just be an idol for an audience. Best way to get an audience is teenagers. If you can get them to like your music you'll do well. You can also ask around and see what your locals are into and meet up with other musicians of the same genre. Collab and youll get fans of their audience on your side as well.

The language thing can be implemented in a way Death Grips use noided in the song "I've seen footage", also MF DOOM fans always say all caps when you spell the mans name☝🤓. JPEGMAFIA fans use peglord. Almost all artists have some word or saying
@WhicAct4 ай бұрын
Found this to be educational and entertaining. For language in music it can be specific sayings. For example Ice Spice and the phrases "like" or "munch".

definitely don’t agree about not letting people think for themselves. to each their own i guess. I think the first step everyone should follow in being an artist is getting comfortable doing uncomfortable things. Watching this video is just repeating the cycle of consuming. START PRODUCING content. Do what feels right to you, stop seeking so much advice.

@d1scs_4 ай бұрын
for language you can kinda use your group or your people or just the name of ur own stuff to do this. For example, Odd Future fans used to say ofwgkta in comments or to others and they would be like wtf are you saying but the fans would know. its the same with how tyler the creator still references these inside jokes or terms with his fans like his new song dogtooth talking about his daughter. basically if you use a few acronyms or terms that makes people feel exclusive understanding it they feel cool

in term of language you just have to use different slang, or addlibs, maybe this could culminate with different ways of sayign weed, like bud, green, herb, or ganj. I guess the guilt/shame thing is along the same lines as the us vs them mentality, this might present itself like, "I used to be broke, but I said fuck everyone else and got me some money", or maybe with the term, twitter fingers; probably everyone listening has used social media but saying that those people who have twitter fingers and not trigger fingers demeans those who take to the internet to fight instead of the streets. Not exactly sure how to implement the dont think for yourself idea into music, but i guess confidence is the key with this, if you sound like you know whats up, people will probably follow along.

Do you know what happens to people who feel that they are "less"? They think that they need to be "more" to be better and start infinitely adding to themselves. But they were never "less" in the first place, so no matter how much "more" they become, they will find they never have enough. What do you like about music? What part about what you like do you wanna make? That's all that really matters, and once you find that, you won't need "more".

Stereo imagining, layering. Example, I've done guitar mixes where you pan one guitar 100 to the left and then one to the right, and then the same at 75 L + R. You can then eq those separate tracks SLIGHTLY differently and they will stand apart from each other. This also works with midi keyboards, and I'd say even better, because you don't have that human aspect of guitar playing, so every note layers perfectly with midi. (Which I believe makes the reverb and echo effects more clear in the mix as well)

There are people with talent making no money and people with no talent making money. It’s crazy how it’s not obvious that there’s more than just talent you need to know, because if it were that simple everyone would be doing it. Also people unconsciously making money through the laws of the universe it’s beautiful, but through brainwashing and bad childhood paradigms it all comes off unattainable.
