Impressive results, I'll have to give this stuff a try. I ordered a bottle of their "nylon-like" resin a few months back, but it didn't work the way I was expecting it to. This is much more in line with what I would've wanted from a tough and flexible resin.

The Basic sunlu the force your pulling that is still pretty damb good compared to elegoo and anycubic basic ive used! I just got a 2kg bottle as wrong order so away to experiment and mix some of the ABS on with it! I might make it just that bit stronger for using up I'll not waste it! I cannot find the Toughness resin anywhere to get some to try,Weird!

Nice Video! Can you also provide the Slice Parameters you used (layer thickness, normal exposure time, bottom exposure time, Lift distance, lift/retract speed, etc...)?

I wonder if this is a re-branding of their ABS-like resin? It's my favorite for sure. You can literally tie supports in knots if you want to because it's so strong and flexible.

Hmm note sure

I dont think so, i use their ABS-like resin (its my go to resin) and it is way more brittle than the toughness one. I recommend to mix them. I do ratio 10:1 ABS-like/Toughness, its firm and detailed like the ABS-like, but a lot more resiliant to impacts than pure ABS-like.

How do you think it would stand up to parts that are hollowed, with a wall thickness of about 1.9 mm? Looks promising, so frustrating when small details break off. Thank you for the review.

Hi there, thank you for the video. It was very informative. Can I ask if the cured resin powders/produce dust when it grinds? I'm thinking of making moving joints and I'd rather not found out it powders out toxic resin dust. Thanks,

Any friction will cause dust I believe... Dependant I guess on amount of friction 👍

@@greedy3d480 Hi there, thought I'd say after an initial test I couldn't get any dusting on my test of rubbing two flat surfaces together. I was quite thorough and didn't produce any dust. I am going to print a ball joint as a test soon but if there is no dusting, this resin could be suitable for practical or engineering parts like gears.

To be fair to sunlu the ABS like isn’t to be sniffed at its amazing resin im 17st and not broke a model or test part yet with it! But curing is also a MASSIVE part in the last stage as over curing can just strip the resins Toughness properties out completely makong it as brittle as a basic standard! I have been told from a professional resin tester any more than 4 minutes to cure your part you are at risk of loosing the Toughness that binds it together! Sounds crazy low time but is working but still do a 5 or 6 i can't help it and larger models ive worked out myself at 22 minutes for a statue hollow at 1.8mm thick wall is just right and UV can penetrate and cure the insides at this wall thicknesses
@menent7 ай бұрын
22 minuts curing wtf bro. i just cure 1 o 2 min my figures only , i read alot and less time is better for everithing . You need to get the rigth time to the figure not get stticky depend of the size of the figure its about 1 or 2 mins max 3. Curing piece 22 minuts porblable the resin will be like glass if you want to cure inside buy a mini led lamp and put inside a hole. But to be onest i print 1/4 figures and i never cured inside and some of the figures have 3 years they are huge and they still there, no breaks or cracks. if you wash the figure good no problems if you dont cure inside

I've printed over 15 bottles and agree that if you drop a model, assume it broke. Great stuff, but for show pieces only. Impressive, might have to bite the bullet on this stuff. I wish they would just call this standard and abandon the old.

Yes I went back to it again recently and it is very brittle compared to other mskes that I'm using at the moment
@1x93cm Жыл бұрын
When ppl say hard they think of tough, if you want anything to withstand real world use and stress, it needs to retain its shape yet be flexible enough not to shatter on impact or with bending or repeating abuse. The only things that should truly be hard, should be thing that cut into other objects or etch them unless they want something that is basically like glass.
