So lovely. Is the lavender an opaque color? You gave me some advice about making distant birds a few weeks back and it's helping. They've gone from ruining every painting in which I try them, to passable as birds. I think I'll get there eventually. Thank you, and here's to practice!

Happy to know your birds are looking more like birds 😊 Yes, practice certainly makes better! Thank you for watching this video. Lavender by Daniel Smith is an opaque colour, yes, and it’s great for adding details on top of darker washes. I use it quite a lot in my landscapes.

Thank you so much! Clouds like this one can be tricky to paint indeed - I find that making sure to keep a lot of the paper in the cloud area dry to preserve the whites, and also softening the edges of the cloud helps…
