Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, big hotel refit plus British style pubs!

Amazing February weather and we head to show the new Sheraton Hotel being created and a couple of the British style pubs that cater for the footy fans! So much is getting ready now, not that long till the season and hopefully positive start.

Massive building going on again, luckily apartments and not all inclusive hotels we don't want more of them.

Its in a great position , the Venus directly behind it is well recommended for food as well. Glad you enjoyed the video. If you find falling head first we filmed it's restaurant Aura where we met the owner of the hotel and looked at the new kitchens. The son who runs the restaurant has followed our you tube from the start, nice family.

Really informative channel which we enjoy and look forward to new posts. We would be really interested in the visa process your friends are going through as know it is now done in the UK but what problems are there and timescale as this is a route we are looking at for the future.

Our friends got their residency last week, gruelling. First step is look at the Bulgarian embassy website in London, you get a D visa there, that allows you to apply here for residency very involved paperwork. Just getting your UK paperwork acceptable costs hundreds as has to go the commonwealth office first , you need also then need an attorney here to help you with all the translations and notorisation of everything. Check you qualify first, money in bg bank 5k euro, verified income £280 monthly roughly UK money, clear criminal records. We were the first to do it after final Brexit parts had finished so most advise we found to be invalid. Anyone pre January last year had it very easy compared to the new situation but it was worth it and it costs around £1000 each to do now. The visa is only for 6 months and allows you to apply for residency that's all it's good for after you have spent a few hundred pounds.

Soon as you get visa fly to BG and sort residency, it can take weeks to sort at immigration here so you need the time on the visa to do it. Total costs are around 1000 pounds each when finished with all the application fees, apostlation of documents, translations etc First residency is 12 months then 5 years after that. Susan spent Friday trying to help a couple starting the process this week, though very organized they got confused with what was needed and what had to be done to each document for it to be accepted just in the Uk at the Embassy , it is not easy.

Some opens 1st march like djanny restaurant, white rose bit it will be limited still. You can have a beer in condor of course and New Nessebar will be active of course.

They are working on the restaurant and bar, stripped out. Now they are returning bedrooms. Obviously the outside areas are pretty good anyway. Still has Globus signs on but that will be last job.

@@user-gg8sn7go9c they are only doing the main building I think to start so being half the hotel will be fully booked. I know of others gone from sites as now booked up it's a crazy season ahead. I was told Balkan actually own the hotel now but cannot confirm it yet.

Me and my partner come over 6 weeks of ever year for past 9 year we go to cancun Tuesday but as Daft as it sounds I would rather be in sunny beach if it was july🤣we want to move there but for young people it's hard

Most holiday destinations offer little permanent work. However if from UK the criteria to live here mean it's basically pensioners.

Filmed it last month, construction frenzy, lamposts in and topsoil now. Next week may get to fly over it again .

That's a good temp for Feb wouldn't say no to that, with living in Scotland. Makes us want to do same as what you guys have done in moving over there.... 👍 I am half Irish so I have my Irish passport which makes me still an EU citizen so happy days, if we decided to.... 🤙 We were in the Pub allot as was just next door to that hotel we got moved to the Grand. We should have went into the red lion as bar man that runs the pub had an attitude we didn't like him..... 👎 Good for the football though.....

As much ch as temperature it's dry, in UK seemed lots of moss and mould in winter, here sun comes out and it's all dry. Great choice to retire here. Paying our municipality, council tax next week 19 pounds a year on the house.
