With all these pull-offs, I've got a question. I'm apparently doing something wrong, because even though I've been playing for a few months now, pull-offs end up tearing my calluses. Same with slides, the edges of my calluses end up catching on the frets and pulling back. It's more annoying than painful, honestly. I can't get a clean pull-off cause my callus keeps catching the strings. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I can do to keep my callus edges from pulling up? Am I supposed to be filing my calluses or something? I didn't have much of a problem like this on guitar, but guess I didn't do nearly as many pull-offs. I realize there are a ton of variables, but thought there might be basic techniques and wondering if this is common or not. Thanks so much for all your content!

Your 5th string is under the railroad spike on the 9th fret? And a capo on the 4th?
