Here you can learn the theme, the chords and the improvisation of the jazz standard " Sunny " such as played by Pat Martino. The " Theme " and " Chords " section is the same for everybody but on the improvisation I have made 2 sections. A " Beginners " and an " Expert " section. Even if you are an expert it makes sense to check out the beginners section and opposite because you will find some usful imformation on both. In the expert section I have made an analysis on the modes which can be used for this chord progression :
A-7 / G-7 C7 / Fmaj7 / B-7b5 E7#9
A-7 / G-7 C7 / Fmaj7 / B-7b5 E7#9
A-7 / C7 / Fmaj7 / Bb7
B-7b5 / E7#9 / A-7 / E7#9
The modes which are used
Beginners + Expert - A blues scale over the entire track
Expert :
A-7 : Aeolian
G-7 : Dorian
C7 : Mixolydian
Fmaj 7 : Lydian ( or Ionian )
B-7b5 : Locrian
E7#9 : Phrygian Nat. 3
Bb7 : Lydian b7
Introduction 0:07
Theme 3:14
Chords 7:57
Improvisation Beginners 11:45
Improvisation Expert 15:50

KInd of new to some of these chord forms. I was following along fine when you were more descriptive of the chord shapes. Your camera is on a slight angle and then you started speeding up too much. I went off the video and got the chord shape off the net and came back. Then you started mumbling a bit with a chord I missed in the middle. Just some constructive critic Mate. I was enjoying it and then got lost. Thanks anyway and cheers.
