It’s crazy how I walked some of these blocks today in 2023 and here it is in 1994. I was born and raised here - it feels like revisiting a time that I was alive for but can’t remember.

That was terrific. A nice memory blast. I remember many of those stores along your walk. Hadn't thought of them in quite some time. Thank you for putting this up here. Much appreciated.

Thank you. My sister lived in an apartment directly opposite the Sunnyside Grocery that is shown at the start of the video. I use to travel over from England every summer and spend my school holidays there. Great memories of the neighbourhood.

Grew up on 50st and 45st between 1972 to 1984. We finally had to leave as the nabe was becoming hostile to white folks...but still enjoyed coming back in during the early/mid 90s when I got older to hit the Irish bars and crack a few sculls here and there. Now the Irish are all gone.

i grew up on 50th ave and 45th street across the street from Saint Teresa in the 90s, a lot of irish and colombians. it’s so different now, it’s most asians now and gentrification coming from manhattan but it always feel like home when i watch this video
