Took a trip out early this morning to try and photograph a Sunrise at Ramsgate Harbour and seafront area, sadly no real sunrise presented itself so had to shoot in what conditions i had, opted for some long exposures showing the movement in the clouds , not a bad way to spend the morning, i hope you enjoy some of the images.

Well done for getting up early Lee - in a way you got absolutely shafted with that cloud at sunrise - but then you really made it work for you . It made for a nice shot of the Pavilion at 5:42 - I don't think that image would have the same impact without that sky. Loved the black and white shot at 7:33 too - and the long exposures at the museum were awesome. Great video mate. 🙂

Sunrise is always a bit of a lottery, I normally go for the easy option and do sunsets!! Ramsgate seems to have changed a bit since I left almost 9 years ago. A nice set of long exposures there Lee, I especially liked the Maritime Museum (without the lampost!) :-)

Hi Graham , yes Ramsgate has a few developments going on, despite the wonderful planning department we have ! Sunrise always seems such a rush and there is always the inevitable bank of cloud ! The maritime museum images came out ok, the lampost was pretty easy to remove when it was off to one side, but being in the middle you can see how much work there would be to make a good job of it, was not that impressed with the image to spend that amount of time on it lol ! Cheers mate hope your well

Well I think you may well be the first photography channel that ever featured a Weatherspoons as a photography subject 😂😂….well that I’ve seen anyways. In a bizarre twist though I quite liked the shot (without lorry for me). I what did the 200 sign signify down at the dock?….you might have mentioned in video but I missed it if you did

Hi Dave, that building holds a lot of Significant for me as i used to work there as a Bar Manager years ago when it was a nightclub. The 200 is our local Councils pitiful attempt at commemorating the 200th year of the only Royal Harbour in the Country , it just looks awful.

This was a fantastic look around the harbour and waterfront area! The waterfront area looks lovely, if not a bit touristy. Best way to avoid the tourists though is to get out early before they wake up like you did! Some great shots in this one mate. The first image of the boats in the harbour was terrific. Like Dave, I even really liked the Weatherspoon's photo! But the one of the maritime museum is just striking mate. So much pop in that one, I just sat and stared at it for a few minutes. Really enjoyed this one mate, great video!

Hi Paul , appreciate that mate, the Maritime museum building itself has a lot of history , sadly the day after i filmed this there was a fire inside that was started deliberately , luckily the staff acted quickly in closing all internal doors to stop the spread and as the fire station is not to far away the fire brigade were there pretty quick. No signs of any damage outside but apparently there have been a few artefact's lost in the fire. Mindless idiots ! there everywhere , they walk among us !

@@LeePelling shocking that people deliberately do stuff like that. Makes me mad to no end. Glad the damage wasn't extensive though.
