@@nachofroyo6493 see I basically use two things....I use tretenoin 0.05 %.. earlier for 2 years I had used 0.025%. I have followed Jennifer totally.. now when I see little purging I use aziderm 10 % to calm that down... then again I use tretenoin. So basically it's a mix of these two.. I use a medicated face wash which has kojic acid and salicylic acid as it's composition. Once a week I use a peeling solution of AHA and BHA from the ordinary for detan..that's all.....and everyday sunscreen is a must

Hey Jennifer! Love those recommendations videos. Regarding the organic sunscreen issue, I recommend watching Michelle from labmuffinbeautyscience. She’s a cosmetic chemist, and she discussed this topic in one of her latest videos debunking sunscreen myths. With that said, since you have mineral sunscreens you enjoy using, then like you said, you can just go ahead and use those. I’m simply pointing this out to some of your followers who might not enjoy mineral sunscreen and are weary of this new talk around organic sunscreens.

Jen, i started my tretinoin journey becouse of you and Dr.Dray (im almost 7 years on tretinoin now) and as you i also barely gesticulate, i don't rise my eyebrows never when im talking, i never move them honestly and its becouse im probably im in the spectrum; the good part of this is that I haven't developed any wrinkle and I'm 31, and look 20. But i think its not fair that becouse of this, people make assumptions of cosmetical intervention just becouse almost everybody does so many faces and expressions while talking. Honesty i think you look so calm and beautiful becouse if this lack of gesticulation, it makes you look ethereal and i like to think that i look that way too becouse of my nule gesticulation. I really admire you! Thank you for existing. Youre content for me it's a gift.

What everyone can do as well, a realistic application I will say is if you do step out and the 2hr mark is pasted, apply 20-30 min before you leave (if not wearing any make up) but like Jennifer mentioned you can definitely pop on a sun hat! 👒😊 Or if you want a clean base before reapplying the cerave hydrating wipes are a great way to remove without drying the skin, and reapply 😗

Following your channel for some time now, I am glad you mentioned the fact of not stressing too much about sunscreen... I was obsessed with sunscreen and then i realized, i wasn't enjoying my time outdoors!!! Nowadays, i do whatever i can to protect my skin, hat , sunglasses, seeking shade, avoiding the sun between 12 pm and 4pm... I am not the active kind of person, therefore reapplying every two hours is something i can skip sometimes.... Living in the Netherlands, which means not too sunny environment, i guess I can get away with it..😅

I wanted to try your top pick, the DRMTLGY but have been advised to avoid octinoxate as it's a thyroid hormone disrupter (and I have thyroid issues). Thanks for sharing Jennifer! I struggle reapplying throughout the day as well. I do have a powder with a brush spf that I can put on quickly though if needed later in the day. Your body skin is just as beautiful as your face. I’m 56 and grew up in the surf culture and we use to bake in the sun when I was younger and thought the darkest tan was the best. So much regret there, but I don’t think I’d change a thing because the memories are what matter. I’ve been able to reverse things a bit though with Tretinoin and lifestyle choices . So that’s good!❤️

I tend to stay away from them now as much as possible. But its just so hard to find a good sunscreen thats mineral. Specially if youre a guy with beard. Ive been trying to research lately about tinted versions but its just so hard to find one here in my country. I also find out that mineral sunscreen is hard to formulate thats why they tend to be more pricey.

I normally don't comment but feel the need to given the hate you are receiving because of a mean KZbinr. I want to say this: I am now getting older, also use tretinoin and sunscreen, and also have no lines on my face. My face is slightly more expressive than yours but not by much. My mom is the same way. She is in her 50s but you'd think she was in her 30s. My grandma is 80 and has ZERO wrinkles. We are people of color, I should mention. My point is that some people have really good genetics, and sunscreen and tretinoin only help to amplify those really good skin genetics. Some people are affected by their environments differently. Some people manage stress better than others, which can cause premature aging. The problem is that because everyone looks at influencers and Instagram 24/7 they don't understand that there are real people in the real world who look great and cannot necessarily afford botox and fillers once let alone the upkeep. Everyone is not stuffing and freezing their face. Some people take care of theirselves and look good into their wiser years. Once people understand this, the better off they will be.

Hello Jennifer, not sure if you’re aware but I wanted to mention that the Boj sun stick is chemical based too. Your observation about chemical sunscreens possibly being hormone disruptors is spot on. Interestingly, I experienced a hormonal imbalance and painful acne flares shortly after I started using a chemical sunscreen. I've always led a healthy and active lifestyle without any hormonal or skin issues until then. The sunscreen was the only change in my routine, so I think there might be a connection. Just wanted to share this with you and say thanks for bringing it up!

I like the city shield from murad but it's so expensive. Alot of people like the beauty of joseon cream sunscreen. So many sunscreen out there! I'd lookup "best korean" and "best european" to find the good ones. I use olive young beause it's an actual store in korea but alot of the brands actually ship direct from korea. What you say around the 10 minute mark, could you make a video or provide the evidence for this claim? I believe there was one major study on this, showing a harmful effect was found in rats but in amounts unlike any in real human conditions. I think Michelle from LabMuffin has explained this well. The way I see it is that as far as we know, the benefits of using chemical sunscreen far outweigh any potential risks. What persuades you that it's worth worrying about? Also so refreshing that you're honest about not reapplying!

Hi Jennifer. I always look forward to your videos. I'm glad in recent you have made more. I love the hat you are wearing. I have a similar one, but it has no ties, which I would love to get one. Also, the other hat, more like the bucket hats was really cute. Your skin is absolutely flawless. I'm sure you mother has taught you to take care of your skin since you were a child. Most in their 40's here in America have not been taught to care for the skin, no sunscreen nor protective gear. I wear sunscreen even if I am not going anywhere. It keeps me in the habit. One thing you did not mention is how much you apply to your face. I'm sure it is a liberal amount. I also have the Cera Ve tinted, but I find I do not reach for it because it is too orange on my light skin. I love the tinted drmtology, but I did get the remark from someone as to why my face is so greasy...LOL. I love the Haruharu wonder black rice sunscreen also. It is SPF 50+/PA+++. I'm positive it is a Korean sunscreen and very affordable. I get it off amazon. I also wear driving gloves. My daughters who are in their 40's will laugh and say I look like a burn victim with them on. But I don't care, because I know it is saving my skin. Another great video. Have a great day!

They do have a sensitive version of it now though in a white bottle that’s also 100% mineral, but it leaves a white cast on me and is quite shiny/tacky if I use it liberally. My skin is a bit lighter than yours, I struggled to find a tinted spf that suited my skin. Most tinted SPF for some reason tend to be darker, maybe because they aim it towards people who sunbathe? I have no idea! However the only one I found to be in light color and also has a very nice thin dewy glowy texture is the ISDIN Fotoprotector FusionWater COLOR light. I like it so much that I even use it at night outs as a light tint because I do not wear any makeup and I am a guy! Please give it a try you will love it!

Check out the innisfree mineral sunscreen spf 45. I just got it last week and it goes on really smooth with no white cast. I’m decently tan but I’ve heard people with darker complexions have had luck with this one. They sell it at Sephora and Amazon.

Hey Jennifer hope you see my comment! Question about bone broth. I started making my own following your very simple method. But grass fed beef bones are really difficult to access where I live. I was wondering, if you were in my shoes, would you still make bone broth with just regular beef bones (not guaranteed to be local and grass fed)? Is it still worth consuming, do you think? My local butcher (they're Halal so I'm not sure if that's a selling point) gives marrow bones for free lol. Thank you for your help.

could you please provide reference to the studies based on which you came to the conclusion that organic sunscreens can be detrimental to our health? Also just curious, how qualified are you to interpret these studies? I have personally tried to read scientific studies and honestly, they are a nightmare to truly understand. Abstracts are usually easy to interpret but they are also quite oversimplified and can be misleading, I've heard. I believe these studies can't really be correctly interpreted by people who do no have scientific background.

I have moderate scientific literacy when it comes to how to read research papers. Peter Attia has made an excellent blogpost as well as video pertaining to this very topic, which I highly recommend to anyone interested in increasing their medical literacy. I do my due diligence to educate myself on these and other matters pertinent to my life, however, it’s as I stated in the video - I don’t wish to become dogmatic or otherwise obsessive about things. At the end of the day, we each and all have to live our lives…
