I’ve been a huge fan of Nicole’s for legitimately the ENTIRE length of her career (I’m talking since Popstars). It took a long time, considering she’s so talented, but I’m thrilled people are finally seeing what she’s capable of. I can’t make it to the UK before she leaves so I REALLY hope it transfers to Broadway and I can finally see her!

It's genuinely like you plucked the words straight out of my brain - I saw it in previews and was so absolutely floored! Broadly not a fan of ALW shows and sunset has never been a show that I've been drawn to, that PCD headliner really sucked me in 😅It felt so fresh and really did a brilliant job at taking a piece that's a bit naff and a concept that's a bit played out and really stripped it back to something very real ✨✨

This show is a masterpiece. Saw SB with Dianne Carole in Toronto twice, Glenn Close in NYC and Nicole in London! I loved this production! I came out and said Nicole just won an Olivier Award. And……she just did! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

There are some boots here on YT and her voice is remarkable. There is one clip of her singing With One Look. I suspect this is going to be her shining moment - much like Lea Michelle with Funny Girl. Some are saying this is no longer Glenn Close's Sunset.

Max is the Butler. And is Nicole old enough to play Norma? I thought she was a little young for it. But maybe I'm wrong. I'd love to see this just from the filmmatic aspect of the show. It looks really interesting.

Nicole is 45. Patti Lupone was 44 when she did the show. Gloria Swanson was 51. Glenn Close was 48.

I am just back from London as well where I did six shows and four days and sunset was the last show I did and it was amazing. Agree with everything you said I knew about the beginning of act two going into it but I actually thought that’s how the show opened so I was confused at first. Nicole got innovation, and my show for as if we never said goodbye

That should say standing ovation. Not innovation.

As a fan of the original London productions and the LA (which then became Broadway) in the mid 1990's and even the semi staged version in the latter part of the 2010s in London. The new Jamie Lloyd version at the Savoy Theatre in London is utter tripe, this version yes is scaled down with little to no set, which is part of its overall problem. Every version prior to this has Norma's very over the top house which is actually part of the cast, believe it or not, It is where we meet Norma for the 1st time and where everything really happened. Including the death of Joe Gillis at the beginning and end not having the house turns this amazing piece of classic musical theatre into a joke and a bad one at that. The problem I have with this reinvention of Sunset apart from what I have just said is that Nicole Scherzinger doesn't only sing but screams the song to a point where you can't understand her. The cast as a whole is good and the girl who plays Betty is the highlight of the entire show, I found the overuse of the camera work horrifically annoying and was not needed excluding Joe Gillis's big number at the start of Act 2 which works and is both funny and amazing. By the end of the show, I felt that the show that I saw so many times in my 20s back in the early to mid 90's had been shat upon by such a height. Its an abomination of what classic musical theatre is and if AWL is going to do this to other shows then god help us all. I mean Phantom, JCSS can you imagine. In word NO...

@@12345678abracadabra Wicked was great for the 1st 3 yrs was brilliant but not anymore. It’s very derivative and dull. I saw it again after lockdown and god it’s was horrid and saw it a few weeks ago and it was the worse production I had ever seen. There are many long term musical that yes have the odd bad show but the luck lustre version of Wicked I saw a few back was a waste of money

If you can show me a bootleg of Nicole where you can't understand her, i'll believe you. Otherwise, you're talking complete nonsense. It's basicsally the exact same show, with a few edits, but without a set. If it's only the set you care about.... The original set design was what killed the production off. It was just too exspensive to run and too big to tour.
