First of all… love this video with the family. So great to see everyone loving the outdoors. For why these two Medusa’s would be a good fit for my tackle box is this. I’m relatively new to musky fishing(6 years). I organized trips with my friends for the past 5 years coming to Eagle and the surrounding lakes. After struggling for 2 years and working with local guides we finally started to figure it out and are all the way addicted. Now I’ve been building my equipment up with the intention of introducing new people to the sport. I try to have enough equipment so people who want to try musky fishing don’t have to buy 100’s of dollars of gear to find out if they like it. So, these two lures in my box would serve several people and contribute to introducing all sorts of people to the sport. Having the 2 sizes matches with the variety of sizes of humans that might end up in my boat. Also… sunset jailbird just looks super cool.

Come here mostly for the breakdowns, I can’t understand why that segment is not standard for all musky KZbinrs? It’s very informative and interesting to see! I would really like the mid size Medusa. I think it would be perfect for the northern autumn pike! And to be honest I believe I would be one of the first in my country to throw them! The good thing is that you could also nominate a second winner for the regular size Medusa. Win win! Keep up the great content!

Hey Glen, I always find myself looking forward to your videos because your one of the only guys to share the breakdown especially with visuals. I appreciate this greatly as I'm trying to learn as much as possible and I'm able to apply this knowledge on my home waters. A Jailbird Medussa alongside a growler would really be a deadly combo. Dussa’s are a mainstay of Muskie fishing and they catch fish that have seen a thousand bulldogs. I love the orange belly in sunset country and just like your billboard says, Just Dussa It!!!. See you in a couple weeks as a stop at Bobbie’s happens with every canada trip for us. Tight lines.

Great video Glenn, glad to see the family out with you. I’m a local here on St. Clair and ball kicker has been arguably the number 1 producing color for many years. I know you guys designed sunset jailbird for use up in sunset country but I believe it would really shine here with these highly pressured St. Clair fish that see the same BL pattern time and time again. As always the Medusa is a staple and for many the first choice out of the box, would be a great addition to the arsenal.

Great content! Been coming up to Eagle for 15 years fishing Musky. My favorite bait is the Medussa. This year I will have two trips on Eagle, I made it up mid July with my wife and kids. First ever real fishing trip with them and my kids loved it. My daughter (11) and son (9) really wanted a Musky, they both gave it a good try. We did get a 40 in the boat, but my focus was just catching Pike, Bass, and Walleye with them. I'm heading up with my dad and brothers end of August. Anyway with this give away my son and I would really enjoy these Medussa's. The regular for me and the mid for him! Thanks for all the great content.

I bought the Musky shop in Woodruff Wisconsin out of the sunset jailbird regular swimming dawg which was 11 of them and I got the pro bulldawg in sunset jailbird from the Wausau Wisconsin musky expo. My 10 year old son caught his first musky ever 2 weeks ago on the sunset jailbird regular swimming dawg which was 47 1/4" and I won a league night of ours with a 45" on the same swimming dawg and our last Musky tournament I got 2nd with the same swimming dawg. My 8 year old loves throwing the same pattern rubber confident it will bring him his first musky ever. Both of my boys and I love throwing medussas and we all 3 would ABSOLUTELY LOVE a medussa in the sunset jailbird pattern! We have to settle for the bulldawg in that pattern I have though for now which just am not as confident in throwing compared to the medussa! Both boys and I watch EVERY episode of 54 or bust on here and they are constantly asking me if you posted anything new on Facebook and when you do they have to check out and read the post. When they saw this episode they asked if they could give me money they have saved in their piggy banks each to have me go online and order them each a medussa in sunset jailbird and I had them go back and rewatch this and listen to what you said about them being the only ones in existence and that you will be giving a set away and they were alittle bummed they can't have me order them each one of their own but are confident if I comment about it they feel lucky enough to win the set and each have one. But if not we are hoping they become available to buy and they can spend their own saved up money on them and would be happy to use their money for one. They also fight over who is gunna wear my 53 or bust hoody I got from you when we go out because they feel so cool to be representing you guys and they both live by the stuff you say and tips you give on how to fish what type of area and have really keyed in on you talking about moon times too. I am glad they look up to you guys and take everything you say to heart and that is how it is and it has paid off for my 10 year old son and will for my 8 year old son too! Thank you guys for the tips and content you put out. We try and do everything to support you guys in any and all ways we can!

i just got started up in ironcounty area of wisconsin and western michigan last year orange and black works great overthere however my confidence with rubbers are lack luster to say the least all of my musky have been on bucktails and i want to start branching out from that and i dont have alot of money to buy a bunch of rubbers so it would help alot to have a couple of baits to get into it more

And my wife says she needs the Sunset Jailbirds because they are prettier than I am and she’s rather see them on my pillow in the morning. I think I should have them because my grandfather spent time in the Crowbar Hotel and amazingly enough, these exact colours and patterns were his jailhouse tattoo art that was done by the infamous musky bandit known as One Eyed Pikey Pete. We never knew why they called him that, since it was a musky that he tried unsuccessfully to smuggle Colombian emeralds across the border in, not a pike, but I guess Border Patrol weren’t up on their taxonomy. Anyway, good old Pikey Pete gave my dear departed granddad the prison ink that is almost exactly like your bold new design and it would be a family honour to continue to pay tribute to two great men from my past. Either that, or the fact that I will see you in two weeks and wouldn’t have to pay for shipping.

Glen, you’re the man. First time commenter. Long time lurker. Not only do I love the pain of ripping rubber all day whether it’s blue bird and hot or freezing in November.. but I’m also obsessed with the jail bird pattern. Hands down best pattern in musky lures.(at least to me) Orange and black have always been stellar but the way the silver pops through out is to me what knocks it out the park. If you pick me I’ll prove I’m not lying. I’ll send pics of both my shallow invader and Husky invader along with my bulldog jailbirds to my knowledge those are the only ones you’ve been involved with prior. But if they make this color I’d be happy to buy and support. Hell if you don’t pick me I’ll still buy one if you release more. This in husky hopefully in the future would be awesome. Hopefully you’ve got some bucktail or tube collabs coming out soon. Anything you release in this pattern I’ll support

I'm 46 years old and live in Birmingham, Alabama. My father started fishing the lake in this video when he was 16 years old and I've been there almost every year I've been alive. I remember listening to Bobby and his brother in their tackle shop in the bay as they would fill out our fishing license's for the week. I've never landed a 54" fish but I did come close when I was about 16. I would love to get a chance to throw the Sunset Jailbird Medusa at our fish. I've mostly always thrown a Mepps's because they have a great track record for us. I believe this channel is going to help me get out of that rut and focus more on finding new fish with new lures using the strategies you cover. I'm pretty fired up to find your channel that covers the same bodies of water I've traveled to for years.
