It's so amazing to see SMG4 learned from making Mario 64 videos to now making his own content like Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise it's pretty magical and awesome.

One of the biggest differences to Meta Runner was that instead of occurring in their own separate time and place, Sunset Paradise was actually parallel to SMG4 series, meaning none of the SMG4 episodes during that time featured Meggy, since she was on a vacation to deal with the death of her "friend" Desti, the Splatfest victory and her future job career. And after the Sunset Paradise ended, Meggy returned back to her friends on the SMG4 channel and told them all about her journey. Pretty interesting to see this kind of interaction between two separate KZbin channels, even though they were created by the same people.

13:10 Actually, my opinion is the complete opposite, since I was most excited to see who Shadow Meggy actually was. My theory was that she was the villain of SMG4 Anime Arc, Francis, who by some miracle survived the explosion of the Anime Island and became a shape-shifting ghost due to a machinery malfunction. But at the end of Sunset Paradise, when Shadow Meggy just vanishes out of existence, I felt somewhat disappointed and relieved at the same time; disappointed because it meant that my well-developed theory has now gone to waste, and relieved because it actually opened me a chance to use this character in another way, as a spirit stuck between life and death, not even knowing what to do in this limbo anymore (even though canonically he should already be dead, must be my inner Frankenstein trying to bring back characters who I got exceptionally interested in, and couldn't simply accept their demise).☠👻

13:50 I think that's was referencing the episodes from the Anime Acr lemonade stand, and Meggy's training making Mario, Tari, Luigi. But even then in the same episode she shockingly realized the way that she acted and apologize for it so I guess your point still stands. She also acted similarly in The Pursuit of Happiness, shadow meggy's first appearance.

Personally, meggy’s drama is hit or miss for me. I love what they did with desti, but the midlife crisis thing wasn’t that interesting to me. It also kind of hurt meggy’s character, as I’ve noticed she has become more unlikeable recently. Mainly with her and Mario’s friendship. She seems to more and more see him as only an idiot. I know, Mario can be annoying, but I really liked how in her earlier appearances, meggy was the only character Mario seemed to care about. I can tell she still cares for him, but I’m just sad that she seems to be hating Mario more and more. And no, I’m not a Mario x meggy shipper. I just really like them as friends.

I remembered I hated Meggy's character since I felt like it was a mess and I hated her for acting all dramatic and stuff… but looking back… I realized: They were trying to make her sympathetic. They had a good idea, even if the execution was bad… it was admittedly thanks to a couple friends of mine who kinda made me go from hating Meggy to more or less see her in a better light.

Honestly I'd say Sunset Paradise is alright, it did have some scenes that I really didn't like. Like for example: When the mayor dies, like I don't really care about the mayor, he has like 17 seconds of screen time on every third episode.

I really Like Sunset Paradise, & My Opinions Mostly Relate To Yours. The Characters are Interesting, The Environment are Beautiful, & The Combat is Amazing. & Yeah…. Meggy did felt Weak Here & Shadow Meggy was Just…… Boring, & for Ep10…. I agree, they’ve Could’ve Done Something with the Fight. But, I still Find it a Great Episode! Overall, Sunset Paradise is Great! It has Flaws, But Nothing Too Major!… Also, Maybe will Get a Season 2? Only Because of the Post Animation after the Ending! (Also, Amazing Job on This Review!)

Don’t think there’s going to be a season 2. However, the trailer for the GLITCH channel shows some scenes with Whisk that weren’t in Sunset Paradise, suggesting the she will probably be getting her own show.

Despite being an unnecessary spinoff to the SMG4 series, It actually good. Speaking of which, I think it’s high time that Luke and Kevin should move on from SMG4 entirely (Like end the series for good) cause it’s going downhill since after the revelations arc.

I have a feeling it just exists as a way to fund Glitch Productions. Quite frankly I don't care how bad SMG4 gets if it means we can get shows like Murder Drones and Digital Circus

I really think this show did not need to exist really. Meggy’s internal struggle came really out of nowhere in smg4 with no proper build up. Seriously? Wasn’t her MOVIE about that concept? Sure the humor was really good and whisk was adorable but the build up to show was AWFUL in smg4 so it took a while to fully get comfortable and relax while watching to really get it all ruined by the end. If they could’ve justified and fully explored why meggy is felt this way instead of just saying she did, it could’ve worked better. To me, it’s…decent for to pass the time but something to care about, heck no.
