Deb - The other two are always funny, but you had hilarity. Thanks and hugs to all three of you for the laughs and inspiration and sewing tips!

I just love the three of you! I have had hot flashes for 15 years!.......and counting.....not done at age 74! I may have sinned too much in a former life, it's the only answer as to why this is happening to me. If I can't laugh, I'll go nuts! Stitching and a nearby fan that I work with a remote control (on, off, on, off....)are my life savers. Oh, one more thing, I am lucky enough to be going to my very first retreat in October. It is Stitch New England being held in Rhode Island near the airport. I am beyond excited!!

Stitch New England is a great retreat for your first one. I have watched FlossTube descriptions and it looks like fun. Enjoy!! And I still get the occasional hot flash at 75. Oh well.

I remember my mom having a wringer washer. I loved doing laundry and one time I was doing the washing and wringing out the clothes my hair was long and you guessed it my hair got rung out . Mom came running to help my head was all the way as far as it could go

I grew up with a wringer washing machine too, we graduated to a washer and dryer set when I was in high school. Great stitching everyone. My Brother sewing machines has buttons or you can use the foot peddles, press and release the button once for one or two back stitches. The key is, if you can adjust the stitching speed, go very slow until you are comfortable speeding up.
@SunshineStitchers3 ай бұрын
That is so right! My machine is all buttons. There is an optional foot pedal, but I stopped using it a long time ago. Now I'm used to the buttons.

Hi ladies❤ We had a washing machine with the rollers, I used to drive my grandma crazy, by putting my hand in the rollers. She would get so upset. But it never hurt. I would laugh. I was very fresh. Then she'd told on me to grandpa, and then I'd get in trouble. 😂😂

Wish me luck in getting it back tomorrow. I really enjoyed seeing the father of you together. Congratulations on your finish Deb. Your wips are looking lovely ladies. I actually only had hot flashes for a couple of years. I was going to comment on last week's video, but totally forgot! I remember my Dad's mom wringer washer. I used it a few times. The center agitator went back and forth rather than up and down. I think the up/down agitators were in the 80's. My grandma didn't have an indoor toilet until my grandpa passed away in the late 50's (toilets did not belong in the house according to grandpa) so she never had any new-fangled appliances. I turn Flosstubes on usually at night (some videos I will watch during the day). I will actually stay up until midnight or one in the morning too many times a week! I have had to limit myself as to which flosstubes/youtubes I actually regularly follow. I rarely fall asleep with the TV on. Deb-it is always so good to see you! Ladies, yours is one of the few channels I watch every week... I am one of 8 daughters, so my mom never "needed" a dishwasher. One day my dad came home with a very big box and told my mom it was a present. My mom opened it and it was a dishwasher (one of those where you put the hose in the sink and put it away when it wasn't in use). My mom didn't really want it, but didn't want to hurt my dad's feelings. Eventually she actually loved the dishwasher. I think for my dad it was a matter of allowing her more time for things that she really enjoyed doing.

Your Dad was very thoughtful. I used to enjoy watching the agitator. I loved the motion with the clothes and soap bubbles.

I love to watch floss tubes at night while stitching. I watch on phone as it works with my hearing aids and don’t disturb hubby. I get so much done and as many know, I stay up late. During the day when stitching, I watch Murder, She Wrote and I could probably say the dialogue from watching them Over and over… LOL!!! I’ve also found a lot of good old shows and movies on You Tube. I loved all the stitching as usual. Everyone is getting a lot done.

I am 76 years old in October and we had the ringer washing machine for you had to put a tube inside run your water put your soap in agitated around then you took the tube to drain it put it down in the drain on the floor, and then you ran the clothes through the ringermy little sister would usually stand on the other side and the clothes they came through one day she got too close and caught her hair in it. Mother had immediately stop it and daddy came in and released it so we could get her hair out.
