Love this, very informative especially coming from a tech person😊. I've always wondered though, would the new jobs created cater for everyone who is going to lose their job. For instance a factory worker, what job would they subsequently do after having been replaced by a robot. Does this then cause further unemployment and what would is Africa doing to equip people especially considering that there are a certain group that don't even have access to internet and the world is just passing them by. Let's just say I worry and wonder😊

This is a very good question but I don't think there's an easy to digest answer. I think people have to adapt. It's a case of workers always needing to be upskilled. Gone are the days of every worker out there being a specialist at using that machine or being an expert at only that process.

Yeap, this is definetly not an easy question to answer, standard bank layed off over 1000 workers because online banking means less people visit physical branches. It also means more work for developers. But for the people who have been layed off it means they have to look for work elsewhere. The sad truth is that it won’t be simple for people to just learn new skills. A good policy would be to make it a requirement for companies to upskill workers that are being replaced by automation. But it would be really tricky to implement such solutions. These things require our government to sit down and layout a plan. But I don’t really see that happening💀

@@SunshineinMyCode Employers here in the USA use to train employees on new technology but I don't think they do that anymore, also when during the mid to late late 70's and to early 80's when many factories closed and computer jobs became a new way of life many people who got layed off enrolled into technical schools and learned about the latest software so they could stay up to date stay employable I see this happening again, I'm so glad I'm retiring in two years.

This video was very informative. Thank you for making it. just to say I really thin black people should start sharing knowledge with each other for no cost at all if we are going to be a proud and powerful race that wont be left behind in the future. If you have textbooks, books or information that teaches new skills or helps in the field of education then why not go give it to other schools or fields of education that are slowly developing and growing where they cant afford the education or set of skills needed. We need to start learning how to grow as one single organism than grow as if we are divide as black people.
