Aaaa....a breath of fresh air! I teach in a homeschool based environment and have a wide variety of what we call Heritage Studies classes to teach, ranging from 1st grade to grade 8, and soon to be more. It is SO nice to have a reference to use to help out with the middle school groups! I'm so thankful that I found you! I appreciate your enthusiasm in teaching and how much time and energy you put into your work. Thank you!!!

Correction, a minor one... The industrial revolution started in 1698 in England, as that's where the first steam engine was first built, thereafter the 1700s developed this into a greater industry.

A new industrial revolution is coming with commercial 3D printers. A new industrial revolution doesn't necessarily mean that it is bad for the nature. On the contrary, 3D printers could make us reuse materials over and over again, creating less waste and to not talk about less shipping. Physical things could just be downloaded from the internet without the need of shipping. A replicator and sort of a teleporter.

I love these videos Sir Hughes. These are awesome and I was curious if you had ever seen the old BBC shows with James Burke called Connections? It takes an ancient event like the invention of the Lateen sail and connects that to how trade increased in the Middle East and then goes how that affected 20+ other events. So maybe you could do a video along that theme and tie all of your videos together in different parts. Thanks for the uploads!

Stalin rejected Marx's concept of communism as a state-less order of self-organizing citizens. George Orwell noted that the USSR wasn't even socialist. Not all communists are Marxist or statist. Many anarchists are communist. Joseph Dejacque, the man who invented the term "libertarian" for his anti-authoritarian approach, was anarcho-communist.

showed you video to my class and they pointed an error. Towards the end of the video you talk about Imperialism and the need for stuff to drive the Industrial Revolution. You mention Hershey and say that they went to South Africa, not facutally true since the largest concentration of cocoa plantations is in the Ivory Coast. Great summary no matter the small error.

Didn't Adam Smith support some government regulation in the Wealth of Nations? "Whenever the legislature attempts to regulate the differences between masters and their workmen, its counsellors are always the masters. When the regulation, therefore, is in favor of the workmen, it is always just and equitable; but it is sometimes otherwise when in favor of the masters. "
