Love it brother! My brother and I plan to ride around Lake Michigan this summer! Pulling micro campers. At least that's the plan! Just subscribed. Ride safe. We are hoping to have recumbant bikes for the trip, but going with or without.

OK! Just uploaded a short description of my trike. I'll get on the road with the camera going and see how that goes. Sorry about my voice, a bit of scar tissue on the ol laryanx, gives me a real gravely voice. I used to be a tenor. Next time I'll just add music. Heres da link kzbin.info/www/bejne/jma0dZKjpqaIma8 I should have done a close up of the headsets on the direct steering. While it gives you more vibration, it takes only two headsets, and the steering is very quick and responsive. The panniers are Avid and the underseat bags are for an ICE trike but they fit fine. While the trike is up to 55 lbs. the frame is actually only 7 lbs. So while it starts out much lighter then the Sun trike, after all the crap is added on, it gets up there. I should have put the trailer on, so you can see the whole parade. By the way those are Schwalbe Big Ben tires, they run faster then most others, and give the effect of a 2 in. suspension, its a nice cheat for us guys with out suspension.

That is a nice set up, ya got goin these days. My 05 Catrike Road had the same under seat steering, with the three headsets. I don't know why but it was the only year and model, that Paulo put out with that arrangement. It had a 45 degree seat angle, and wasn't comfortable on long rides, so I got the Expedition model when it came out in 08, as it had a 37.5 degree seat angle, with the lumbar support. Your seat looks about the same, and with that type of steering, I bet it is a smooth comfortable ride. There are all kinds of arguments, about which is better, direct steering or indirect steering, it is all BS. Ride what you like. I have had a Catrike Road, 2 Expeditions, a 700 and Pterovelo velomobile, liked them all. I'm thinking of a Katanga velomobile next, as I'm getting tired of being out in the weather. Getting old sucks that way sometimes. Tok a bit of video too upload but my editing skills suck so bad that I shit canned it. Think I'll try again this week, old dogs, new tricks, ya know.

Hi Kirk Yes, I find that if I sit too low And at that Angle It becomes uncomfortable. I have the terratrike rover, terratrike Tour and the suntrike. The suntrike has the smoothest ride. The rover is best For the off road stuff. The tour I won't be riding much anymore. You Warned me before about the Steering on that tour and you were right. It started to wander terribly. It sounds like you got some pretty cool stuff to see On video. Keep trying and have fun. Thanks for the comment.

@@FMChronicles The tour's steering can be fixed by replacing the bushings. All they are is a brass tube really, just knock em out and tap a new set in. I've heard some scary stories of guys getting a kind of magic carpet ride, when the steering input goes away when going downhill. I currently have FSA Headsets on the Expedition, and a FSA Gossimer chainring. You could put new bushings in, with some Lithium Aerolube, so guests will have a ride.

No derailleur in back, correct? Tried to get through a similar area once on my trike and ended up with a derailleur full of weeds. You need a larger trailer so your dog can go with you. Thanks for posting.
@FMChronicles2 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a derailleur. Yes it does get full of weeds , sometimes. I have thought of trying out some kind of dog trailer. Maybe in the future or maybe a sidecar. Thanks for the comment.

@@FMChronicles Would not do a side car on a trike. We are already wide enough. Have fun out there. Happy New Year!

It is not a bike, a bike has two wheels. It is a trike because it has three wheels.
