I was scheduled to play “going home” at the funeral of a 22 year old autistic boy. As I was about to strike in, and lead the family out of the chapel, a powerful thought came into my mind. I felt a strong impression that his mother needed to hear a lullaby for her baby boy (though he was really a man). Not having rehearsed, I played that very tune as I walked them out. I repeated it for 5 minutes until they were gone. It was my great honor to play his last lullaby. I love that tune dearly.

Beautiful tune. Most people don't know that we play the pipes with our entire body. Good job. We are musical with our physicality and our musicality. Pipers are a breed apart. Thanks for your work and your music (one and the same). Tapadh leibh.

As for me, it's certainly coming from a love in my heart for my Celtic heritage,... Scottish, Irish,..and Welsh. I rarely think of pride, although I always was proud of what I thought of as a fine spirit in Celtic people Dark Isle Piper🏴

Dark Isle Piper,...Great music! I love the setting too. Reminds me of the Muskoka Lakes in Ontario, Canada! Unfortunately, acid rain has destroyed all the birch trees there. Beautiful lakes there just the same.

This in an interesting rendition of this song. A little slower and different to how I play it and how others have played it. Beautiful nonetheless

John Ritchie I’ve definitely changed it a bit from the original version. Slowing it down and adding a bit of my own movement to it. I used to play this tune in a band setting too.
