I kinda think that Typhon should also be honorable mentioned, like she's in the same spot as Mlynar and Degen in terms of damage but instead of utility (short stuns are not really that much of an utility) she offers "afk" skill and greater range for situations where those two would die after the first contact

My wife was fair and always has been. She has big damage and that's it, high dp cost, short range, slow attack, 55 sec for skill3 and 0 block by default (by that I mean if not range op can deploy on low ground). Half or this list solved one or more her problem(s). In short she suffers the same as blast caster.

Eyjaberry just deletes all damage altogether honestly, even on stages that don't have elemental damage, she still worth so much when damage sources just overwhelms all operators on the stage that were separated too far from each other. Before I could raise my Nightingale, I only borrowed EyjaBerry to get myself through Talulah's fire meteor rain and it works like wow.

Ines shits DP AND fills the role of early dog rush laneholding in one unit. Also Ines doesn't need defense most of the time, she has range and a long bind that ends up preventing most chip damage altogether because she cycles fast enough to kill anything threatening on time. Ines + Bagpipe is just unnecessary. Ines doesn't need someone else to handle a dog rush for her. She can more than handle 5 seconds in all but the absolute most scuffed of clears.

@@lordofbanshees Eh...For most maps, I use all three of them...By the time you would be gearing up I'm already just watching with the whole map set up... Reality is that often enough, you can just add Flagpipe because the space in squad she'd take wouldn't be useful anyway. This is a bit less of a case since Shu, but hey. There are times where it's also important for Ines to be able to use her second skill instantly. Even if not for the early stage of the map, then for later. Because she does have utilities (and damage) that makes her a competent support DPS in most maps. There are also maps where Ines is terrible start. Why?! Because Myrtle guarantees her full DP, Ines does not. Early stages of a map actually make her unable to provide a lot of DP. The enemies are too scarce and die too fast, so she may be able to generate 8 DP. For Bagpipe and Myrtle that doesn't matter. Flagbearers don't care about enemies, and Bagpipe doesn't have a timed skill plus returns all DP on retreat. In many maps, you can build up your DP faster with them than with Ines. Ines however is going to be able to consistently provide you with DP on maps with tough mobs on idle from the beginning or mid-stage, where there's plenty of targets to keep whacking on. So yes. Ines does not replace 'flagpipe'. And she does benefit from Bagpipe, some times more than others (it's still a few seconds earlier that you get the DP output). There's even space for a threesome here. Ines simply has more utility than just DP generation, even beyond damage (Bagpipe is a damage monster, especially for her cost and class) which is why she simply is a more 'valuable' slot if you are tight on them in your squad.

Shu is really good, my favorite low ground healer in fact, but walking past the tank into the goal frequently means the tank is dead or about to die and she just doesn't have nearly the raw durability of Hoshiguma or Saria. You can totally play with her S3 by putting her off to the side so enemies can walk right past and get reset, because its funny to watch, but most of the time its meme tactics.

@@whitemagus2000 While it's true that Saria has more raw stats, and she has the damage reduction module which gives her the same percentage reduction as Shu's sanctuary (with the module), you clearly don't have Shu or don't know how to use her if you think she lacks survivability or that her third skill is just a meme. She vastly outperforms Saria in survivability on third skill in every case other than being one-hit. She heals herself by roughly 1100 per second if I calculated it properly (it's 926 without the module), and that's without her talents triggers. Far higher than the 35% of Saria's attack per second. Outside of the third skill, she's still tanky enough to stay alive against most enemies. Against nearly all enemies when she's within the range of a healer (and those enemies that would kill her, would kill Saria too). So yeah. I don't see your argument that she's not survivable enough as a tank.

I have a friend circle who also play Arknights and I'm having a difficult time trying to explain to them why Ines is such a powerful operator, like their main excuse was "she doesn't do anything other than generate DP quick and I have Myrtle" which kinda shows how subtle her strength is and not just anybody will see what she brings because she's not a braindead delete button. She's probably among my most used operators ever since I got her and she's my third most liked operators in the entire game just after Reed alter and Reed. She's awesome and her skin is the coolest. Typhon is very good besieger with two BIG... powers. Her damage with def ignore and pseudo global S3, which tracks the target even when they are immune. Plus Muelsyse can be in honorable mentions as well. You get both a vanguard and some stat stick unit of your choise at the price of one. Plus said stat stick can multiply itself if in range form. Ela fits too. Very strong "marksman sniper" with mini-Suzuran on demand almost everywhere on the map.

I've used Mumu a lot on the current event stages, especially 14-23 where you need to break those fkin cocoons. Her clones can just become your placeholder for possessing them and prevent it from ever transferring to your other ops with proper usage.

Shu is as "useful on literally every event, RA, CC, IS" as you could get for a non vanguard, she should absolutely been top 10! Ray is basically the most braindead single target damage dealer u could get in this game and just happens to have access to an insane CC that shuts down any single target rush. Her sheer DPH and absurdly fast cyles basically makes her the best sniper in the game! (Ignoring Wisadel obviously) I am actually genuinely suprised Ela isnt here, i would argue Ela is basically just has flexible as Texas/Yato and even beats them in stuff like IS4 wich shows her sheer utility! She really deserves to be in top 10!

I agree with this list but I will mention 10 operators I think also deserve to be called the best. 10: Silence Alter, she provides damage reduction and Immortality to other operators. 9: Thorns & Blue Poison, they are different operators but they have a few things that are common between them that put them here. 8: Fiametta not just for her ability to nuke but also because her S3 is one of the best Aoe abilities in the game. 7: Spectre Alter, almost immortal, can deal both physical and arts damage and is an Abyssal hunter. 6: Skalter and Civ Light Eterna, Bards are just amazing supports. 5: Shu, Saria, Blemeshine and Hoshiguma or as I call them the 3 blocks you use when you don't have Mudrock or Penance. 4: Golden Glow, despite knowing what Lappland Alter could do, I still see Golden Glow as better for a variety of reasons. 3: Chongyue, Mountain: They are both low dp cost lane holders. 2: Siege Alter, because True Damage and Saibaaaaa. 1: Akafuyu, yes this is my bias, she is a Crab thus superior to you mortals. Plus she literally has carried me against every boss in this game except Minimalist. I consider her better than Hellagur even if sadly her module was so dissapointing.

19:58 brought back memories of me trying to fight Emperor’s Blade using invisibility and camouflage. For some God forsaken reason, camouflage DOES NOT make operators immune to being hit by splash damage, but invisibility does so my operators that were camouflaged by Heavy Rain’s skill 2 got farted on and died but Fire Watch with skill 1 didn’t

ascalon honestly deserves to be a honorable mention, s2m3 with module makes everything move at like 15% of original speed, which buys time for high dps units to charge their sp, she is also the strongest crowd control unit so far, her archetype also lets her be deployed without fear of her dying to random shit, also because of her massive slow, she can do very good damage before the enemy steps out of her range, she can kill pretty much every mob in the game with s2

Pretty sure the reason Yato Alter doesn’t get debuffed when she’s equipped with Skill 2 (Even in IS stages where you get the penalty where she is frozen for some seconds) is that it’s a passive effect WITHOUT a duration. So the game counts it as an innate ability with higher priority than status effects. She can get cc’ed afterwards but not during her S2 slash animation

a positive video? from supah? damnnnn Honorable mentions could be bagpipe, eyja alter/lumen and Shu: Bagpipe still reigns king in flagpipe, even though ines exists now, she's still extremely good and resilient for very cheap, and refunding for *current* cost is a big bonus. Eyja alter, lumen, and Shu are by far the best in utility: Shu has faster healing intervals than most other medics, and has attack speed and attack buffs if you play your cards right. Eyja Alter and Lumen has gigantic range for medics in general, and very good for AFK-ing, and still Eyja has the edge healing wise, Lumen has the ability to completely remove statuses, which helped a lot in some of my runs. Ela also deserves a mention, her fragile is super free and she still does great damage on top of buffing a lot of operator's sheer damage even more
