Supair LEAF 2 Paraglider Review

Supair has been one of the top competitors for a while now. Together with Advance and Phi, they fight for the "sweet spot" in the A, low-B and high-B classes, which have the most demand. Nice review.

Can this be projected onto the Leaf 2 Light as well?

Having flown both of them, yes, with the usual kinds of differences expected between standard and light versions of a wing. If you read the product info for the two wings you can see they are pretty much the same design made with different materials: flybubble.com/supair-leaf-2 and flybubble.com/supair-leaf-2-light

Greg Would you say the leaf 1 was a mid B?

Yes, Greg, Nancy and I discussed this and we all agree the Leaf (1) is a mid B.

PS. With the addition of a high B wing to their range, the Step, Supair have made the Leaf 2 more of a low B, as to be expected. This is similar to what Advance did with the Epsilon / Iota and Niviuk did with the Hook / Ikuma. Quoting Greg: "Bear in mind that now Supair have got the STEP in the B range, the high B, so they can afford to make the LEAF 2 slightly more accessible and a little bit easier than the LEAF 1 and I think that's what they've done." :)

​@Richard in Spain Sorry I've not managed to reply sooner. Rick Ford (above) asked about the original Leaf (1) which was a mid B (see our Leaf review flybubble.com/blog/supair-leaf-review and product info and other reviews on our product page flybubble.com/supair-leaf ). Supair only had one 'B wing' in their range when they released the Leaf, so they made it a mid B. Later they added a high B wing to their range, the Step. So when they released the Leaf 2 they made it a low B. The original Leaf (1) is a mid B, the Leaf 2 is a low B. flybubble.com/supair-leaf-2

I have leaf 1 and that feels very easy to fly so Leaf 2 is a dampened 1?

No, I wouldn't say the Leaf 2 is a dampened Leaf (1). It feels like a new design, not just an evolution. I'd say a dampened Step might be more accurate; they feel related to me.

Hey Mark, i am thinking about buy leaf 1 after ad vita 2, Are you happy with leaf 1? Have you ever experienced problem with big ears?

@@aliasmkaptanlar1143 Yes have had no problems with big ears. Supair changed the line set so make sure the lines have been changed if you Buy one.

@@aliasmkaptanlar1143 good luck with the Leaf. It is very easy to get good efficient turns, compared to my previous wing (up kantega xc). Little or no outside brake is needed, it's hard to describe, but all my previous wings have felt more like two wings compared to the Leaf.
