The video game "Super Baseball 2020" really matches what was happening in the real world at that time. A Global Pandemic that has paralyzed all sectors. Not only Tourism, Education and other sectors, but also Sports. Restrictions on tourists entering a country or city and No spectators in a sports match (American Football, Soccer, Baseball, etc.) Not only that, All activities are carried out at home and virtually. Starting from online learning, online concerts, online seminars and everything like that. It's not in vain if the baseball video game released in the 90s really predicted the future.

I highly recommend checking out baseball advance for the GBA, pretty amazing how much of a game they were able to fit on handheld hardware from the time

This game is absolutely dope!!! I own it on Sega Genesis and the Arcade Archives version on PS4. Plus, I own a RetroPie with every single version of the game! Edit - I also own the SNES version, as well…It’s ehh, but not as good as the Neo Geo and Genesis ones

The way this video was presented and title, almost made sounded like it was late april fools joke, but i can agree with Super Baseball 2020 it was good arcade fun baseball game. also there is a secret cpu vs cpu cheat where you Select a One Player game, then hold Select and press Start and then you able select both teams and watch them compete against each other. not alot of sports arcade to console port games offer that. have you thought about doing SNK sports titles like baseball stars series and their football games?

American Dreams and Ninja Black Sox were names of teams in SNK,s BaseBall Stars sports games Best way to get hit/runs was to hit liners along the foul lines. Also as a pitcher you can purposely hit the opposing teams boosted robot players. Especially when they are about to explode. In the SNES version of the game postion playing robots didnt explode they just lost all their skills and became slower. But bot pitchers would and they would become useless. I felt this video was kind of reaching by comparing a baseball game being played in Cyberpunk genre setting to real world events in 2020. Japanese games and anime trends from the mid 80,s to early 90,s was heavily influenced by the Sci Fi - dystopian cyberpunk genre. So any predictions or comparisons is people seeing what they want to see or just coincidences.

Friend, the issue is something common with people overly defensive and critical today. You’re over analyzing things and taking them too literally. The 90’s was a decade where people were a lot less self conscious and a lot more relaxed. It’s a video game, and just shows how unnecessarily stressed out and overwhelmed people are today in a false sense of “intelligence.”
