Okashido because it IS Missingno, as in Missing Number. It’s technically a bug where it was number ??? Because it had no number on the Pokédex.. It was a bug that they kept in the game.

Dogs generally have the same body shape too. Give us like 4 head, tail and fur pattern options like they do with palicos and you'd be able to cover a lot of dog breeds in MH. Some breeds might be a little small but it's not like palicos are the proper size of a cat either.

They miss out some info on other obscure MH games (correct me if I'm wrong). In the MonsterHunter MMO games (MHFrontier,Online), there are bird-like pterodactyl buddies (probably early prototype to Mernos/Noios/Raphinos/Barnos) that helps you get parts in hunts, a battle Poogie actually exist, and a race of cute monkey-like creatures that are similar to Grimalkynes/Gajalakas/Shakalakas, and I actually don't know what they do but I'm guessing they do the same things as any Lynian and Melynx race does.

While pat is mostly right about shared skeletons in Monster Hunter he's not entirely correct. An example is Fanged Wyvern family includes Jagras, Odogaron, and Ziongre. Brute wyverns include deviljho skeleton monsters, Barroth/Brachdios, and Uragaan. None of which share skeletons (to my knowledge)

in monster hunter wyvern is a wide umbrella that encompasses most monsters. proper wyverns are called flying wyverns but there are also t-rex style 'brute wyverns', fish-like 'piscine wyverns', raptor 'bird wyverns' and 'fanged wyverns' which are just wingless quadrupeds like bear and dog looking monsters. elder dragon is a classification given to monsters that exist outside of the usual ecosystem. they're solitary, nomadic monsters that destroy the environments that they move through. they're pretty much living natural disasters. with a definition that vague, elder dragons come in all shapes and sizes. many look like traditional winged dragons, but there are also unicorns, whales, manticores, and even a jellyfish.

Wyverns aren't dragons, but wyverns and dragons are both drakes. Dragons typically have four legs and a set of wings. Wyverns are usually depicted with two hind legs and a pair of wings that double as fore limbs, like a pteradon.
