Looking back on the original comp I did for Metal Wolf, I thought it was way too long for such a short LP. With the additional developments on the Metal Wolf front since the LP finished, I figured it would be a good idea to re-do it. Not that people pointed out, but there's a couple I noticed while editing. Mostly, though, I was trying to cut the length down to make it semi-reasonable, so obviously there are a lot of extended bits that had to be removed.

Never forget that the Best Friends single handedly brought this game back from the dead. If they dropped a release date today it would be the greatest Presidents Day ever.

One line they sadly missed on the end of mission screens might be my favorite line in the game. Obviously they weren’t read here since this was before the game was localized (thanks to this playthrough it is now). Those screens that show Lincoln with the text over them detail the story of the newsman, and how he slowly turned from being on Richard’s side to Michael’s. It actually makes his turn towards the end an actually cool moment instead of making him seem like an asshole turncoat. Anyways, after the Chicago mission where Metal Wolf stops the poison gas, the newsman talks to a bunch of people about it but specifically mentions this one little girl. When he asks her what happened, she says that God saved them, and when he asks what she meant, this kid drops the rawest line in the game: *”God is made of steel.”*

Thanks to this video, not only will I forever associate MWC with Matt, Pat and Liam, but I will also always think of Michael vs Richard when listening to It Has To Be This Way.
