This has to be one of the dumbest and manufactured controversies in a good minute. The halftime show was never really about the town where the Super Bowl was held. The Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg halftime show was the closest one to being a west coast-ish type of show but it was more of a hip hop/Dr Dre showcase. Wayne sounded entitled af in that IG live, didn’t even at least congratulate Kendrick after expressing his own personal disappointment. What has Wayne done recently to position himself to do a half time show? Poor live performances, poor reputation behind the scenes, no hit songs recently, or cultivated momentum, no press run, no album, nothing. But him being from NO means he should headline, when that’s never been the case for the SB. What is the potential set list, that fits that audience and advertisers? Nicki is crying cus that’s her only chance to get on that stage. This is complete manufactured outrage

@@clflamez6861 I couldn't find the quote that you speak of. But regardless, Kendrick supporting Kaepernick's stance, and boycotting the NFL are two completely different things. I think that you are missing the bigger scheme of things. No halftime show is going to change the NFL...No matter who performs. If all those NFL players are still willing to play, while being "so mistreated", and without Kaepernick, then why should someone that's not in the NFL need to take a stronger stance? The players could quickly change things, if they stood/"kneeled" in solidarity in protest. Also, where do you get your SB viewership demographic data from, because I know that people of ALL races watch it, faithfully.

Wayne doesn't have a set list for the Super Bowl. Wayne would do the NBA All Star game but not the Super Bowl.

Internet is toxic. This outrage about Wayne being entitled to a SB halftime show because it’s NO is silly.

Lil Wayne is the GOAT but come on! If you've seen Lil Wayne's performance at the WWE, then you'd obviously know why Kendrick was chosen. And Lil Wayne is said to very unprofessional behind the scenes. He's said to be late during rehearsals, he forgets his lyrics, he's been known to have an anger problem and lashes out at staff, he performs drunk and he is not the same performer he once was. He is legendary rapper but he is definitely not a great live performer unlike Kendrick. Just look at his performance during the SuperBowl Halftime show with Dr Dre. Or his performance at SNL or at the Grammys. Kendrick can and will definitely put on a better show than Lil Wayne.

The outrage felt artificially instigated from jump, and that smells like a smear campaign by larger forces. Not necessarily by Drake, but more like the money behind him ‘cause you can’t allow Kendrick to perform “Not Like Us” and call their cash cow a PDF file in front of the largest television audience there is!!!

I don’t understand people who can’t understand the difference in the superbowls prior to Jay-Z’s influence and after Jay-Z’s influence. That’s strange to me I can’t lie.

@@i.m.6758that’s not the different topic, everybody was saying Jay-Z is a sellout for the culture because NFL’s racist stance but all of sudden when Jay-Z actually selected the biggest social conscious rapper to perform and ignore a well known Trump supporter it’s a problem? Ochi Wally or one mic, Which one is it?😂😂😂
@i.m.6758Ай бұрын
@@minz05 like I said, it’s a different topic. We can go there tho, Jay-Z used his alliance with the Feds to stay free, since his days in Brooklyn, Wayne used Trump to stay free. Secondly Kendrick Lamar is so socially conscious that he rocks with Dr. Dre? NWA did a number on the culture about 40 years ago that the culture still hasn’t recovered form till this day. Not to mention him giving all them women the original Beats by Dre. So miss me with that fake socially conscious bs. See those are also different topics tho.

THIS is a global event, Lil Wayne do not have many family-friendly songs. It's not just about black people and what we want to hear and see. It's the Superbowl weekend let Cash money and all of them perform their own thing. Because if you don't know on Superbowl bowl weekend there are plenty of celebrity parties and concerts. At the end of the day most of the songs are vulgar and we have to think past us there's going to be millions of people that are going to watch that game so it's not just about what you want to hear. Annie's stupid because I want to be represented in an empowering way not a stereotypical way. I have a question what are the genre are what are the race of people do this besides us? I'll wait 🤔
