Mike Evans is such a gem. Imagine the humility and selflessness it takes to be one of the only Pro-Bowl players on a losing franchise, put up record numbers but nobody notices because your franchise is historically terrible....then having Tom Brady come and add 4 offensive weapons and take your team to the championship and winning using all new players the most. And the whole time you're doing nothing but encouraging everyone along the way, AND wanting to take a pay cut next year to keep everyone together. Every team needs a Mike Evans.
@davidgunawan57783 жыл бұрын
this gets overlooked so much. i'm so happy for him honestly. to be such a team-first player who cares much more about winning the ring instead of just putting up meaningless numbers, all while staying away from controversies or being a diva like some other star receivers, he deserves this ring and so much more.
@everettmadsen96193 жыл бұрын
Mike Evans was their leading receiver this season in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Only reason he was quiet in the SB was KC is pretty good against WRs but have struggled to cover TEs this year thus unsurprisingly the TEs were the focal point of the passing game in the SB. So yeah everything you said about Evans was true, except the taking a backseat to new players part. He's a real one

One of my favorite moments is when Evans is talking to Gronk and he says something like "this is why you guys came to Tampa, to do this." Aside from JPP and Shaq, there really weren't any starters on the Bucs that I am aware of that already had super bowl rings. When you listen to the younger players in interviews and press conferences, sometimes they seem like they're star struck or pinching themselves because they can't believe the 🐐 went and joined their team last year. This was literally a dream come true for them.

Never, ever, ever in my life would I have thought as a Giants fan that I'd be rooting for Tom Brady. Not even for a single snap in his whole career. But as I got older, as a former athlete trying to hold onto my youth and health as long as I could, Tom suddenly became an inspiration. Playing at this level into his mid-40s to me meant that I didn't have to give in to being "old" just yet either, and I rooted like crazy for him in this Super Bowl.

Watch his TD to Gronk #2 - in one of the replays the camera stays on him. AB and Brady-- great. Gronk and Brady-- great. AB, Gronk and Brady-- power-keg. The AB touchdown right before the half makes so much sense now after what happen during that Jets game when AB walked off the field. AB was jealous of Brady and Gronks bond, even this Superbowl showed it. The AB touchdown was meant to be a Gronk TD, AB actually cut Gronk off and could've easily cost them the TD or an int before half. AB's role was to open up the center and when Gronk cut in he'd be wide open for the TD, which he was wide open, AB shot back to undercut Gronk's route. AB drew Badger right back to the middle instead of pushing him out. You even see Gronk for a split second reach up when he sees Brady let it fly, Blaine even mentioned AB running the wrong route(and you know BA didn't like it at all). AB blew up the route intentionally for selfish reasons, that play could've went wrong several different ways but the play as called was a 100% TD for ole Gronk. Last season I would wager AB brought more negative to that locker room than the good he did, with Gronk catching what, like 2 TDs a game for the first 3 or 4 games.... You know that didn't sit well with AB the other 6 days of the week. But it would've been nice to see if AB could've helped in that Rams game.

The GOAT Tom Brady, what an athlete, unstoppable, & a heart of gold. Patrick Mahomes is younger & a great athlete, with a golden arm & a hunger to win. He is so exciting to watch. He is great & I think he is one of the best quarterbacks to play the game. This was a great game by 2 teams that continue to thrive to win. Neither team gave up. Awesome game. I love hearing what the players are saying while in the game. It makes it so much more personal & entertaining. I also like hearing the respect the players have for each other, even though they are on different teams, they still have so much respect for each other. Its heartwarming to hear & see. Nothing like curing some holding than throwing the ball to the receiver being held. Then all refs eyes are watching. Chiefs wanna complain about the flags but didnt stop holding and hitting receivers after 5 yards. They didnt learn. Plus the whole team broke down. If anyone doesn't know, the phone call saying "call for help!" has lore. First Shannon Sharpe did it years ago with Denver then Tyreek Hill did it earlier this season to the Bucs so it was fitting to give it right back

funny thing is Sharp did it to the Patriots lol
@encycl07pedia-3 жыл бұрын
@@heavydps9502 Right. It made sense when Sharpe did it against the Patriots. The Patriots are represented like the USA's first military (Bluecoats) and the National Guard was being called in for support (a bit of an anachronism, but still). When you do that against any other NFL team, it loses the context of the joke (I suppose you could use it against the Saints, but mocking Katrina victims is in incredibly poor taste). Tyreek Hill just shows he's faster on foot than in his little noggin.

I think moss did it too

He obviously didn't know that Shannon lost in the playoffs after saying that in the season. Crazy how History repeats itself

"We got all the answers to the test, now we just got to go have some fun." Meaning he dissected the last games film saw the problem and created the answer! Tom is the G.O.A.T.

I mean the Bucs had the answer after the first quarter against KC. It didn't change the result, but 24-10 after Tyreek Hill was contained. If you nearly lose after being up 17-0, it's clear which team is actually better.

Chiefs learn playing Tom Brady is a big difference between guys like Jimmy G, Josh Allen, and Baker Mayfield. Those guys are inexperienced and panick with blitz looks not Brady. Also a difference in playing short guys like Landry and Diggs compared to Evans and Godwin who are 6'2 guys with track star speed. Can't get away with those hugs.

Feel like what makes brady special as a leader is his ability to rein guys in and slow everything down. He makes everyone on offence cool and collected likes its a back yard game with your dad. I will always be a brady fan.
