Dallas Cowboys fan since 2000, moved to Dallas in 2000 at age 15 and moved away in 2019. My ROI has been 4 playoff wins and no championship game or SB appearances. Moved an hour south of Cincinnati in 2019 and have started following Bengals who have been deemed a relatively incompetent franchise over the decades. That being said, they won 5 playoff games, made a Super Bowl and 2 AFC title games in 2 years. At this point, I’m considering being done with the Cowboys. The Bengals are simply more intriguing with Burrow, despite a penny pinching owner. Jones has turned me off to the franchise I grew up loving and cheering for.

John literally laid out the fans level of frustration with Jerry. The old man thinks the fans turned on the coach? No sir, I love the Cowboys and absolutely can’t stand Jerry’s ego. He’s an Old, cheap and delusional owner that ruined the team. Our fan base is so loyal that it allows this dude to never change is mindset. Owner having a press conference after games, weekly radio spots, not dealing with any one that challenges him. God bless anyone that was around in the 90’s to see the cowboys win. It won’t happen until the old man has given up his day to day involvement with the team. Jimmy getting the credit of the 90s teams created issues that we still have to deal with.

As a commanders/redskins fan since ‘82, I haven’t had much hope since 1999. There’s been a few years: ‘05, ‘12 & ‘20 where I was excited the team made the playoffs but wasnt clueless that this wasn’t clueless that this wasn’t potentially sustainable. I say all this to point out that as a Commanders fan I’ve never been angry at years and years of futility. If I was a Cowboys fan I’d be so so angry having him as an owner because for him it’s ALL about making money and staying in the news cycle and not about winning. He refused to hire an Alpha male as HC because he wants to be front and center and the talking head of the franchise. SMH!

@brandonromero680624 күн бұрын
Why is there the obsession with QB pay? Outside of Deshauns contract, most don’t work like they appear on the surface. Often the first few years the actual cap hit is 20-30 percent of the apy. And when it gets bigger they often restructure. Most good gms are experts at manipulating the cap so not being able to field a good team is mostly a myth -see philly.

LOL at you national media types who thought that the "next man up" thing was just a cliche. The Lions are so real with that and so damn good they will do that with coaches, too, after Glenn and Johnson take jobs. Do you know WHY the Lions overcome so much adversity? Because they truly develop and coach everyone on the roster, and they're ELITE at doing so. Coaches included. This is the best-run organization in all of football, and you just don't know it yet. You'll see. (A football historian might have already connected that the Saints under Sean Payton developed his assistant coaches to become head coaches... Dan Campbell and Aaron Glenn, of course, were assistants under Payton before coming to Detroit... but I digress)

Because you may only get one opportunity to be a head coach and it’s basically a guaranteed 200-400% pay increase. Worst case scenario you go back to being a highly paid coordinator even if it goes poorly. Like Fangio, Kingsbury, Vance, Nagy, Buddy Ryan, Norv Turner, Mcdaniels etc etc. Granted a lot of these guys got a second chance so you may have a point, but I would guess it’s mostly about the money

Here's my problem with this John. Philadelphia lost both of their coordinators 3 years ago and here they are back. Stop acting like Detroit is the exception to the rule. This is not going to destroy this team the headman is still there and he's better than sirianni ever was. I just don't understand the whole they lost both their coordinators so they're screwed for the rest of their lives. You guys forget how talented this team is top the bottom and the fact still remains they draft better than anybody else in this league and it's been this way for 3 years. The outright and total look down on this team because they might lose AG and Ben is really kind of problematic for me. If you're going to sit here and act like this is our only chance in our franchises history to win a super bowl and if we don't do it this year it won't happen shows that you clearly aren't on board John. And you need to figure out what the hell you're talking about . Turn over in this league is real teams bounce back you know why resiliency and grit. This seems going to outplay everybody they're going to work harder than everybody and they're going to push harder than everybody. Regardless who the f*** is in the room. I'm sick and tired of this take
@Tsand423 күн бұрын
As an eagles fan it’s difficult to lose both coordinators. That’s a big reason we collapsed last year. You have to hit on coordinators if you lose them and that’s hard to do. Jalen has had a new offensive coordinator every year for the past 3 years. The one year he had his coordinator for 2 consecutive years he went crazy in 2022.

It will be interesting to see what the Eagles do with Jalen Hurts in the next 2 years going forward. He’s clearly very overpaid and you could plug a middling Qb on this team and get better or same results, but add another 2-3 high level players.
@Tsand424 күн бұрын
Winning at a 80% clip is worth a shit ton of money. The funny thing is Jalen balled out for 300+ throwing and running 70+ in Super Bowl and lost to Mahomes who threw for 182 but Cheifs ran the ball better. If Jalen wins the superbowl throwing for 200 yards a lot of people are going to be back peddling. The eagles know if they don’t turn the ball over they are almost impossible to beat with there defense so crazy good.

Jalen coming off a concussion that was really bad doesnt not throw for a lot of yards but does not turn the ball over and finishes with a 111 passer rating. He wont be rusty against the rams and the Packers have a much better defense. Also It is supposed to snow and be pretty dicey in Phili during game time so if the eagles run for 200 yards and throw for 150 AJ scores a TD , and Jalen has no turnovers I dont want any arguements that state he isnt any good. He has been to a superbowl and is on the cusp of getting to his second NFC title game in 4 years. You guys make it seem like he is blaine gabbert.

Why are you guys still talking about the Cowboys? At least wait until they are relevant, again. They've been total suck for 30 years and you guys act like they're the kings of sports. YUK! 30 years of blah, blah, blah, Cowboys blah, blah.
