Good job boys something I would like to see is multiple bikes on stock motors with different controllers, but that would be a lot of work, putting the stock motors back in like 3 stock talaria motors but 3 different controllers w/ the same 72vbattery I guess technically, you guys would have that footage but you have to chop it up into it but I don’t think that you have draggy for each one of them. Great video... but why are you running such small rear sprockets at 40T & 44T, maybe for top speed runs? The stock Talaria MX4 motor has twenty magnets inside the rotor and the KO MOTO 35kW motor has only sixteen magnets. I'd be curious to know how many magnets are inside this Sotion motor?

Yes we are running the small sprocket for top speed, but also because the sotion motor is a low KV motor and also has tons of torque with the x9000 so a small sprocket works well. On my dirt set up I’m running a 48tooth with 16/19 wheels.

I have a x9000 Ko moto factory Spec Motor and a Chi Titan touring s battery. I just did a top speed run tonight and I can't even hit 60mph. I am running a 44 tooth sprocket. My settings is 20kw 350 battery amps 800 phase. I hit 58.9 mph top. what am I doing wrong here

So when you did the top speed run did you switch the power output back to 20KW? because when you did the top speed run it was only hitting 17KW and that's what you lowered it to for the drag race right before. I could be completely wrong I'm just confused why I saw only 17KW.

No it was set at the max, doing top speed runs don't hold the peak over 20kw of power though because they are to long, and the battery isn't capable of doing that. we did pull more than 17 but our old motor would have only held like 13 consistently on the same top speed run.

How did you end up finding out that your battery could push more than whatever it's rated for which I think is 15 kW or something because I have an a EBMX 72 42 and was wanting to know if I could push more power but I didn't want to damage the cells or anything... I'm also running a Stock surron motor which I know is limiting phase amps and watts so now I am just debating on what motor to get... Do I get the sotion or the EBMX a motor? I have an a EBMX9000 as well and I know a EBMX recommends their motor because it pairs with their controller and the tune well.

Hey man your battery is rated to 22kw peak. So you could turn up your power to that if you had an upgraded motor, you wont hurt the battery, it has a full bms system that manages the cells and if they are pushed to hard it shuts it off. The Sotion and ebmx motors are amazing, the ebmx is a nicer motor and has higher rpm and power rating but does cost more so its a hard choice. It all depends on how much power you want to run, both motors can easily handle what your battery is rated for but if down the road you want to run over 30kw you would need the ebmx motor and buy the ebmx race battery with higher specs.

You guys should really make your own custom batteries where you can use higher grade lithiums that have a higher resistance, meaning that. you'll be able to pull higher wattage for longer. I'm gonna go back to the website that I know to purchase these battery cells from subway. You guys can probably attempt. to do a custom bill. It's really not that difficult because these batteries. are used modularly rather than you having to spot weld. and soldered on a. a piece of pier nickel. and you also get faster charge times. I'm talking about like an hour and a half to charge. like a 60 kilowatt battery.

I totally understand your discrepancy in your numbers. All along prior to the new motor you guys were stating certain phase amps and kw numbers and they were always higher than what the bikes were capable of. Makes sense that no matter what the app says or what you have it set to. Just because it’s set to it or it’s saying a certain amount doesn’t mean that’s what you’re doing. Only in optimal conditions and with the optimal equipment that’s capable of doing specific numbers then and only then will the numbers on the program actually be sent and accepted by the motor. And battery and controller. Crazy how much faster the new motor is. You should try it against the mx3 motor since you can get more max rpm it should do better than the mx4. Crazy to think that if your planning on upgrading your bike it’s better to have a mx3 then a mx4. that the mx3 motor can be pushed so much farther than the mx4. And with a new mx3 going for 3400 dollars I mean come on. That saved money goes right to a x9 controller and your same price as a mx4 now a 2000 battery and you at the stock price for a 12 kw ultra bee 6500$ But for 6500 your mx3 is 18kw Not bad at all. So try it against the mx3 motor with upgraded battery and controller and see what happens.

You guys said in your previous videos that you get 20 kW with no temperature problems and over 70 mph topspeed and that you pull 700 phase amps or more with the mx4 motor and now you say that 70 Mph is only possible with a poorly running motor and you don't pulled 500a phase But now with the sotion motor comes the truth Why didn't you show the facts straight away? The truth is we thought we were actually pulling those previous numbers, but once we learned how we could actually measure KW and phase amps we realized we were set high but the motor would only do what it was capable of doing which is around 17kw and 500 phase. Now measuring the new motor the same way it is so much faster it’s not even funny. We were in no way trying to mislead, we just didn’t fully understand until recently.
