Awesome! I just got that same motor with esc for my LGRP Ultra24 build. Good luck on your comp!

I think so, yeah. And let's not forget: cheap. 😁

What BEC are you using?
@Br0rB20 күн бұрын
@@mackenziebrown6881 I'm using these for most of my small scale builds. I usually set them to 8.4v, depending on the servo I'm running in that rig. They're good enough for small scale and a decent servo. ☺️ s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EyijAQD

I have the same motor and it runs pretty well! I think I need to lower my gearing or something because I do get cogging on my low end occasionally. I have a cheap aliexpress Am32 esc paired with the motor as well

I have only just tried it on the bench, but I have used those AM32 ESCs in several rigs. Curious about the motor. So far it looks good, but I'll know better once I try it on the course. Gearing down is always an option. I rand a lower tooth pinion on my Komodo, and that worked great.

@@Br0rB Do you have under drive or overdrive gears in your axles?
@Br0rB22 күн бұрын
Overdrive in the front, but gearing wise underdrive in the rear would probably be a better idea with this motor and ESC.

I've done a bit more testing now. It's really smooth with the AM32, but like you, I get some cogging and have also found the motor to not push up verticals. I've tried to gear down a little, and work on the settings in the ESC, but it's still not great. I found it to be slightly better with a Furitek Lizard Pro, but still not great. I'll be trying more ESC settings, but like you, I believe it needs to be geared down. I have ordered som underdrive gears for the rear, and will replace the overdrive in the front with stock gears. I'm hoping going from 23% OD to 33% UD will help, and I also have some smaller pinions ordered. The stock one on the motor is 12t, so 55t spur and 12t pinion. I'll be trying go to down to an 11, a 10 and an eight. 11 probably won't make much of a difference, but I'm hoping eight, or maybe even 10 will help. This motor should work well. It's a quite similar to the micro Komodo from Furitek, same pole count, but a longer can, and just slightly higher KV. It should work great, it just needs to be set up right. Hopefully gearing will help, plus maybe trying a different ESC. :)

@@Br0rB Awesome, good to know! Let me know how the underdrive gearing works out. I had set the start power fairly high on mine and got ok results, but my esc heats up pretty quickly. So I think underdrive may be the answer

I love it! I apologize but could you send me a link to the esc please.

Sure thing. I just programmed mine, and had to up the start up power and sine power a bit on the settings. Seems to work well so far. ☺️ I just use this esc. It need some soldering, but it's fairly simple. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EvteZ7R
