i love a Taobao unboxing video, they literally should have you be their ambassador. 🤣 P.S.: not sure if you know, for TMall items, 50 yuan off for every 300 yuan, and for Taobao items, it's 30 yuan off for every 200 yuan(If my memory serves, and every year it may vary). Of course, this doesn't apply to all the stores, since some stores don't take part in it.

Nice overhaul. Taobao's amazing. I just ordered lots of random stuff - Brazil nuts, a can of hummus, and an air fryer, too! I'm in Guiyang, and the weather's pretty mild, but, yeah... the last couple of days, I wished that I had a space heater. (It's too bad that lots of areas of China doesn't have floor heating as they do in Korea.) I'm tempted to make the move to Chengdu for my next teaching contract, but I'm a bit turned off that you can't get things like kidney beans at a Carrefour or Walmart there.

I just love that you can shop without really having to step in a mall or shop. I fell in love with many of the clothes that you tried on. I have a suggestion for a video. I have been watching content from Chinese KZbinrs on what is considered beautiful there for both men and women. Perhaps you can do it from the perspective of what you as a westerner think Chinese consider beautiful in their own men and women or not necessarily what they think of foreigners. Of course please feel free to disregard this suggestion if you think you might offend anyone.

Taobao is so hit and miss for me, like you said 80% fails haha. A friend of mine recently put me on though, search 'ou mei da ma' (for bigger European/American sizing!!!!) or 'ou mei ma' (for European/American sizing).

Can you post a link for the white blouse? 😅 It's it a clean white? And the shoes you wear for workout. 😅😊 And always keep a second pair of shoes for workouts. It prevents fungus.

Does your apartment not come with any type of heating system? I do watch multiple vloggers in China since I'm learning Chinese. I've noticed people wearing winter coats indoors. That's crazy if there's no heat!! Brrrr 🥶 Enjoy your new city, apartment and stuff 😊

In stores- not friendly AT ALL🤣🤣 Only foreign stores like Zara, H&M and Uniqlo will have larger sizes in stores. Taobao, like our friend mentioned, is super friendly to us "fat sisters". Just need to type in the right phrases in Chinese to get access to all the plus size clothes.

Beijing have central ghetto heat well area south of the Yangtze River don't.

Exactly!! Central ghetto heat means you usually cannot control when it comes on and the temperature it comes on at. But it will be on all winter. Chengdu doesn't have central heat, meaning that that most buildings just have electric heat that comes from the AC unit, that doesn't warm the whole space.
