A coil in reference to hair is a curl. Curls in natural hair come in different sizes, shapes, diameters, densities and textures. This means that from Type 2C to the end of Type 4 all can wear coils. They just would all come out looking different and the coils made from the tighter (type4) curls would last longer. Type 2C could not last because the natural curl pattern is looser. I do hope no one is offended. I just want US to educate ourselves and our people on proper terms. This should be our avenue. No one knows the hair struggle more than women of color. I went to hair school calling a relaxer a perm. Most women have called it that. There’s a difference. Let’s empower ourselves to embrace whatever curl we have and let’s embark on a healthy journey to knowing our hair better than anyone else.

I Have had natural hair for the past 8 years and most times I just get French braids/corn rows but now I want to start to wear my natural without wigs for a little bit and I was looking for a way to define my curls and keep the moisture in and this is a good video my hair is for C and a little longer than your sister- in-love hair but you did a great job and she looks beautiful thank you for sharing
